Traveling on Big or Small Airplane

I love traveling especially riding an airplane and there was a time that i booked a trip on a small plane like a propeller type bombardier. My office mate said to me that I should fly on a big airplane like airbus a320 or anything with turbo jet engine because it is safer... I don't know if it is true but when I rode the small airplane I was nervous a little thinking that the propellers might stop anytime... do you have experiences like this?

Ohhhh Airplane also big or small still I not know about this. But after reading your discussion I know very well.

I did go on a smaller plane once, and I must be honest I was very scared, I think I prefer to fly by large planes but even that it amazes me how they stay up so I am always a little nervous.
