Intel vs AMD

I'm contemplating about a pc that i wish to buy but is a bit confused which processor does the best job especially for music production, video, gaming, sound and multimedia. At the moment i have these two options- Intel 2.4ghz or AMD 3.8ghz

Trying to compare an Intel 2.4 to an AMD 3.4 is like comparing apples to kumquats! An Intel 2.4 Ghz with 4 cores is going to smoke an AMD 3.4 with only 2 cores. I would always go with Intel due to higher build quality, as well as more advanced processors. But if the AMD saves you $250 and has at least 2 cores, then go AMD. But my vote still goes to Intel!!
