The World of Poetry: A poet seeking other poets

I am a poet and philosopher. I am interested to know how many poets are affiliated with the mylot website. I would like to know how you feel about poetry and if you feel it is a beneficial way for you to explore yourself and the world around you.
My life aspirations is my handle, 2bpositive always..... and poetry is the mechanism I use toward achieving this goal. Do you agree?

I'm not a poet, but I think of myself as a writer(http://smashwords.com./profile/view/carlhalling) who has written versified pieces; but not poetry as such. I consider poetry at its best to be among the highest of all arts. One thing is certain...poetry requires tremendous discipline; patience; and above all, industry, all highly positive human characteristics. I have an enormous amoung of respect for poets.
