If We Could Have Just One Old Friend Back

That's a nice question P1key. I miss Loud, (or Loud'n Proud). I'm sure you remember her; that lovely Scottish lady who started some great discussions and made us all laugh a lot. I hope she's happy and she and her family are doing well.

There are two or three who I'd really like to see again. Without naming names, one who was absent for a while has come back so there's always hope for the rest, right? I have come across a few friends from high school, who it's been great getting to know again, and catching up on old times. Unfortunately, whenever I come across a contemporary friend, even if I just saw them yesterday, it's getting on touch with an 'old' friend.

I can't think of anyone around here that I have missed, but I am sure that there are. I know many of the people who were here when I first began are not still here. I just have a hard time remembering who was here and who was on other sites. I have gotten in touch with old friends in my personal life and it is always nice to reconnect with others.

No, I haven't done that. I can't think of anyone in my past or here that I would get back in touch with. All the friends I have now in my life are ones I've kept for decades and treasure. There are people here at myLot that don't surface often or disappear for months and I do miss them but they always come back eventually.

I was on mylot a while back but I left for a while and remember some members that had made an impression on me. I remember loudnproud but was always too timid to comment to her too much. Then there was another that I cannot remember her full user name but it was minnie with some numbers after, her father was also a member of mylot. I wouldn't mind having her here to have a discussion with.

Not that I know of. I do miss seeing one person here though but they left and they will never come back to Mylot. They are upset with Mylot.

yes but many months ago on here her e-mail a/c was hacked I asked her to let me know when she has new a/c but no news since then I saw her logging in on mylot a few times but not starting new discussion probably too busy or have new friends

Hi Pike, there is one person I wouls love to see come beack again and that is Tamarafireheart. Although we both know her and speak to her her sicussions and presence here is missed by others too. LoLo xxx

hi pikefish oh yes indeed a zany Scottish lady who was so much fun, I did find Pyewacket on Face Book and Irish I miss her, I imagine most are on Facebook and I check in every so often but mostly' I am stuck here on Mylot. several I miss who quit over my protests because someone had been stalking them here and making them miserable. Also one of our older people is quite ill with rheumatism' in her hands so badly. One of our members here let me in on that and I could om her telling her I was praying for her to get better and come back to us. I am sure you know Tamaras Fireheart she was one who was here when I started back in 2008. cannot believe I am starting on my fifth year here Pikey. wow.

Since the last 3 years i have got in touch with around 24 old school classmates of mine,some after 46 years and some after 49 years.Since then we have been having regular get togethers at my house.Next year is the 50th anniversary of our claa when we were in the final year and so we are having 2grabd celebrations on 5th and 26th Feb 2012.This is because some of the guys have settled abroad so we have split it up so all can attend.I am also in touch with my former office colleagues and also with my college mates and we have been having gettogethers every year at my place.One of my college mates is coming,again in Feb from Ottawa and we are meeting at my place with other collegemates.

Do you mean in mylot or in real life? Well I do have a few friends I wish would be back in my life :( Or me back in time. I really get nostalgic these days and I don't know why. Makes me go crazy at times :'(

hi P1kef1sh what a serious topic for the end of that year of 2011 on here...... Yes I want one old friend back. She is the retired pastors wife I am also friends with. Met them when I was in my mid 20s and felt uprooted as my Grandma who had given me an emotional home, had passed away. They were there to listen and help, and I admired them very much. Then the pastor retired and I thought well I will never hear from them again though they stay close to the city where I lived at that time. Was so shy I didnt call them a lot as I wanted them to enjoy this retirement. Only now and then. They moved away in 2007 into a Senior Citizens home, the bond became closer, the nice old pastor wrote to me a lot and we also phoned here and there. Imagine my shock when in 2010 we received a letter that my friend has cancer the second time around. And I was too far away to go there plus I had responsibilities shoved on my shoulders by my biological family which made it impossible for me to do what I wanted, thats help my friend other than with sending flowers and writing mail. I only could see her once close to when I was told the diagnosis. She looked thinner but okay then and I was so thankful to be with her. She was called home to Heaven July 2011 and I miss her so much. By now I was courageous enough to admit I had lost my heart mom and not only a friend as the relationship to my own mother has always been a rocky road with loads of setbacks. I know she is in heaven and no more pain, no cancer, and she is fine and close to God. But that does not make me miss her any less. If only she could come back for five minutes so I can tell her how much I miss her.

i honestly dont know. i reconnected with one a few years back and it didnt last. that person was really important to me but i think she didnt want to mess up my life (dont know why she would think that) or something. other than her i would like one of my old guyfriends back but due to the situation i know thats not possible. it seems like everyone i have had recently have been toxic so its slim pickin's for me lol

For someone who contribute much here on myLot, I think I would like to have stine1 back! For personal reasons I think I would like the gentle soul fjaril. And for great hockey exchanges, I think I miss canesfan1964 and jewels49/ But I think I exceeded my 'Just One' limit!

I had so many friends during my life that I thought that will last forever, but none of them lasted. I had some friends now, but don't know if I'm going to keep in touch with them after I graduate. I realized that my only true friend is my sister, because at least I know she always will be there for me.

I really miss my old friends a lot... I don't even know where they are and what they are doing... We used to have a lot of fun together as kids... I wonder if they miss me to... I used to have a best friend... now he too has shifted... Like that I have made plenty of new friends...and I enjoy a lot with them too... but no one can replace my old friends... because old is gold and is never to be sold...

I was kinda hoping to see that CanadaGal was missed. I guess she wasn't that great of an impact on the members here. LOL. Facebook has been my primary means of getting in touch with old friends. However, I've also noticed that the ones I never did keep in touch with (or vice versa), were a different level of friends. Reasons, seasons, and lifetimes. We all fit into those categories of friendships, and we've all experienced them.
