Hmm, I actually went to bed early last night, like 9:30 p.m. since it was cold last night, and I don't want to keep my feet cold while typing on the computer. This morning while I was at work, I should had abundant of sleep from last night, instead, whenever I sat down, I couldn't control the eye lids, they just want to be shut. For several times, my co - worker pass by, and shook me awake, and told me watch out, not to fall asleep while at work. I just have to get up myself, walk around and went to bathroom to wash up my face. Hopefully it help keep me awake. Have you ever encounter such situation while at work? What did you do?

Yes, I have encountered drowsiness at work, but in my case it was because I stayed up too late, and didn't get enough sleep. In your case it seems you may have changed your sleeping habits, and this may have caused some internal confusion, and resulted in you being very drowsy. Sometimes, I've gone through phases where I get a lot of sleep, and I just keep craving sleep. It's almost as if the body is taking advantage of all that lovely rest and recharging itself in a big way! But if you carry on feeling drowsy, perhaps you should worry a little. However, chances are...you will feel fine tomorrow; and very refreshed.

Yeah, sometimes I feel the same way too. Even I know I have slept enough, there were times that I can not control the feeling of being sleepy. Sometimes I did the same thing too, wash up my face with water to keep me awake. It do helps a bit but after an hour or so I felt sleepy again.
The effects of medicine taken, also is a factor that induced us to feel drowsy.

Sometimes i do experience that too. Doesn't matter how long i've been sleeping, i still feeling sleepy in the morning. I think it means our body still tired and need a little more rest later. But, when this happen while i'm at work, i usually wash my face and my eyes. If it still didn't works, i try to drink a cup of coffee. Sometime find some snack or some fruits like orange or apple to eat could helped too.

Yes, I used to work 3rd shift for a place where I entered information into a computer all night. The job was easy for me & we were allowed to listen to radios while we worked.
They kept it soooo cold there that I would have to bundle up in layers just to stay warm while I worked. And I was getting sooo little sleep, it was ridiculous.
The music & warm clothes pretty much lulled me to sleep & I couldn't stay awake to save my life. I couldn't count the times that I was either talked to about it or sent home.
I used to drink caffeine, eat candy (for the sugar content), walk around a little, etc. These things work to a certain extent ~ unless you are severely sleep-deprived like I was. But consuming caffeine or sugar in excess is terrible for you.
I hope you can get more sleep; maybe you are sleep-deprived too...

I am not a clinical psychologist but your body metabolism is reacting to something.
What did you eat? any strenous work of recent? Are you thinking of something or disturbed by some event?
Take some exercises to relax the body, eat well and give the sleep another go. But endeavour to wake up early not late.

Dear friend, you must know that to me a situation similar to yours, has happened many times. When I worked and I had to go at 6 AM, I finished most of the time to fall asleep on the job. My colleagues said to be careful because if I had seen the chief, I would have risked the report.
Now that no longer work (unfortunately) this thing happens to me often, sometimes I get up in the morning and are more tired than before. Every day I go to sleep for more than an hour after lunch, but sometimes the effect of fatigue remains for me
But you must know that I take medication that will surely make me sleepy.
