Do You Believe on LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? Can True Love come from it?

I've often heard of people in love, that there's such thing as LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. I wonder whether this is just a romantic phrase devoid of truth or it is really a possible thing to happen...and who knows out of it will sprout the seedling of a true and genuine lasting love. Yeah, I've know of couples who were so attracted with each other on their first meeting, and they developed more into a serious relationship. But I also knew of lovers at FIRST SIGHT, or lovers who fell in love on their fist encounter, and later their relationship staled and withered and died...What do you think? Do you believe on LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? Can true love come from it?

I willn't support the concept Love at first sight...In my opinion, a real love will not be made by this concept...I like to know the all character and behaviour of a person and then I will begin to love that person..How can we love a guy with out understanding them closely??I don't believe the love that happened by the first sight or beauty....Very bad concept...Thank you...

Dassodils, no enough arguments will convince you to believe in the beauty and magic of a love at first sight...unless, a special man out of 'nowhere'will pop out and come and intrude into your world...into your life, and cast hypnotic glances through your eyes penetrating deep into your heart...

dont say that daffodils.love at first sight not means about beuty.its something more than that.
do you ever had a love?
then you cant say that?
love just comes..
we cant create it..by using nice ingredients.
sometimes we sacrifice,sometimes we forgive,sometimes we adjust..
thats love.
it can happen in a second or sometimes by 10r 2 years.
it can come at first or second sight.
itws note a concept its reality.

I believe that love can come out of any situation.. but it should be developed over time, actually. One can be attracted to another initially, but eventually i guess people will have to make out of something out of that attaction, right? So when they do, they will be able make love grow...

Chiyosan, thanks for your eye-opening comment which I fully agree. As a hopeless romantic when it comes to love, I believe that love can come out of any situation as what you said. In a way you're saying that love can grow and develop from being a mysterious by-product of love at first sight into a genuine and lasting love...

Nowadays , there is no more true love. Lol. No, just kidding. True love may come from first sight. But that doesn't mean that you will develop into a marriage life and have kids. It also depends on how deep your love for her was at the first sight. And if you both felt the same, then this first sight could mean a starting point to step forward to a more serious relationship.

I know you were just kidding when you said, there is no more true love nowadays. And basing on your comment, I can tell that in one time in your life you may have proven the magical effects of love at first sight. Of course, I agree with you...love at first sight has a higher rate of 'mortality', and that means seldom does it end in a lasting relationship, or in a blissful marriage. But love at first sight is some kind of an experience that one can't forget...

Love not, lust at first sight yes. When you look at someone there may be an attraction, you like the way a person looks. Eventually you want to speak to the person and get to know them. Then you will be able to make a sound judgement on their character and looks!

Falling in love at first sight is described as an amazing feeling. Not a few individuals who will conduct an intensive approach to really - really realize these feelings. I personally, Kinda hard to distinguish feeling like a normal course, and fell in love at first sight.
Some say that love at first sight is not eternal, because that is usually seen by the eye is the look, but not all like that. what I mean here is, from the eye we could see something beautiful, and from it we also can feel the love.
So, yes, I believe in love at first sight. but it would be better if the love arises not only because at first glance, but because of the combination of beautiful when seen by the eye, and beautiful when it is felt by the heart.

I like your comment, min8esign...and I don't have either the nerve to disagree with you in believing in the beauty of love at first sight...I'm a 'hopeless romantic' when it comes to love. For me, it's not impossible for love to develop from first romantic glances of two hearts being struck by "cupid's arrow".

I believe in it mainly because it happened to me. I saw my husband in high school and while we didn't get together in high school it was like we were drawn together. Everything else just seemed to fall into place and we both admitted to trying to date other people to ignore it because really who wants to believe people can fall in love at first sight? My ex and his ex both found out and quickly who we were really in love with and tried to keep us apart but they couldn't. When those relationships ended both being very bad and one of them even dangerously so, we got together comforting each other and admitting our feelings that we had for three years beforehand. It was rather beautiful. We've known each other for about 8 years and been together 5 years happily married and with children.

Oh...I'm so much touched and amazed with your true to life experience, AidaLily...Yeah, I know in this life there are lots of beautiful things that happen and make us realize..that life after all is not all bad, especially when true love settles deep into your heart for the person who in return loves you as much or more than you do. And I'm glad that it is one beautiful experience that proves love comes from the most unexpected places and from unexpected happenings, from stolen glaces of Love at first sight...I'm happy for you and your husband. No. With your first sight throughout a person, you cannot see his mind, his thinking, his interests. Thats the most important thing about one person. Love at first sight is just a rumor for me. I don't say that people can't feel future connection with someone when they see him the first time, but it will just be because of the looks, and that isn't at top importance in the future relationship at all.
