My TOEFL score is increasing because of Mylot..!

iam active here because i know it`s the perfect tool for me for learning english..i need this site because not only money

so you must be active here.. slow but sure, your english will be better..trust me

hi there, i'm trying to get active here at mylot. Since i'm not doing anything, i spend hours here. Thanks, i hope my english will get better. how about you? It looks like you've been here for so long. That's nice. I hope that i will too.

maybe she means like that..but she did not find the right word when she make that discussion just understand..and i think she is happy if you can correct her statement like that.. but i think i had same opinion like her about mylot..

I agree in some points. I mean, people can get their experiment from every where. I do the same thing, although I don't really do it in mylot; I apply it in my daily life. I have friends that I communicate with everyday, not only through the social networking, but also calls and texts. I speak the language more often because that's what I do. Lol. So if Humairaku and u think that u get the benefit from mylot, then good for u. :)

Hi Vanessa..Thanks for being happy for me..I'm really happy too cos my TOEFL score is the highest among my friends. I never thought before that my score would be that high and being the highest, and it's my first time being the highest. it's really great for me..

well done miss.... you did it great... when will i reach that score? :( i just remembered that my school friend got more than 500 even she's not from English department. what ashamed :( ... so, maybe by joining mylot will also help me to reac a better score for the next. :)

That would be indeed a good idea, adhyz It would be a good advantage for English learners if the site would have that voice feature in the site. And not just any voice that one can hear from computers that you can easily set up which often sounds so computerized no matter how fast or slow you configure it. Then again, such programs that specializes on such learning like that don't come cheap. (^_^") If this site would have that kind of feature, I guess they'd need to charge members. On the other hand, we can always learn in alternative ways like watching English videos with subtitles. That way, we can replay a scene that has a particular dialogue that we don't understand and have some subtitles ready so that we would recognize how it was said. We also have to consider that speech patterns are not always the same for every person since a lot of factors have to be considered. Another way would be to listen to English songs and read the lyrics of the songs while at it, this would definitely improve listening skills and English learners would get to recognize how some words can be pronounced by different artists depending on the genre of the songs they sing as well as the difference between how male and female singers sing words. There are actually lots of ways to learn the language without really spending a lot. ('_^ )

yes i am aware about the consequence.. because you are talking with very seriously, so i must respond it more seriously too.. lets talk and must see from any views.. if mylot want to make the features, it`s possisble for them for taking charge from a member who want to get all the feature..but it`s hard for realized because it`s not popular and maybe mylot will be left by many member... thats the problem again..

but mylot maybe must add a feature, voice.. why?? the TOEFL test consist of voice test too.. sometimes it`s difficult for hearing the english native speaker when they speak and it make the test become difficult i think

I think it's difficult for us to trigger someone to like something. Like is a kind of interest, and it usually emerges from the heart. It's difficult to make someone like something if they don't have any interests from their heart. I like English since I knew it and I didn't know why I like English. I just like it..:) Maybe you can invite them to an English meeting. Ask them to practice their English and ask them not to be shy to practice their English..I don't know how to make someone like English cos I never face problem like that..

I like English since I was in Junior High School, when I was about ten or eleven years old. English is not my mother language so I try hard to learn it. and I am so happy of having little ability in English today, not only in writing skill but also in listening and speaking. Maybe my ability is not too good, but at least I can understand almost all English words or text which I an find on products or papers. It's great for me..LOL..and now, my interest in English helps me making activity here and out of my consciousness my English is increasing as my activity here. About the way in learning English, I like practice what you said but only for songs not for movies. I enjoy watching movies so of course I wanna know how the story goes, and with my limited English I can't enjoy it much then..LOL..

I can say that I like English at the first introduction..LOL..Now I have Mylot to practice my English, especially my writing skill. Mylot also hepls me to improve my vocabularies and helps me to keep them stay longer in my mind co sI often use it to give response or make a discussion here, it helps me prevent them fading away from my memories. It's great..

no, Adhyz..I didn't study English at college. i like English very much but I didn't take English major in college. I chose International Relation. Some people think that International Relation has close relation wit English..mm..I don't think so cos we study politics, not English..:)

i see..it`s good record when you are not graduated from english department..thats good..and everybody give the respect for you even you teach english subject...no one people ask your background education when you teach english subject maybe it occurs for me, when i think everybody always curiosity about my educational background and it make me akward when must start again for teaching english..now i had no confident for it..in mylot, i change my bad mood like now, with writing some new discussion or replied another discussion

Yeah..it's other problem when you teach a subject at school but your educational background doesn't support your career. I mean, I graduated from International relation, and I should teach English cos the way of my life 'forced' me to be a teacher, maybe sometime this unconnected fields will cause a problem, such as maybe I can't be a civil servant till I retire. but it's okay. the main purpose today is giving the best to the students and I can get my best to them. Maybe I didn't graduate from English department but I think I have good enough capability to teach English to students. that's the most important for today. if someday I am successful to be a civil servant due to my long long dedication, it must be a sweetest bonus from God..

I think I always be active here. I open Mylot almost everday. I open Mylot as often as I open my Facebook account. LOL. But I make discussion not too often cos for me making discussion is not always easy, so I prefer to give response to someone's discussion. It's easier for me..:) I ever told you that I have two jobs, rite? I teach in an Elementary school at morning and I teach in an English course a t afternoon. The manager of the course requires teachers to have TOEFL test once in three moths. Te aim, of course, to improve our English skill, and further, to measure how good our English is. That's why I joined TOEFL test. this period, I got the highest TOEFL score among my friends. And the coolest thing, according to me, is that I didn't graduate from English department, however my friends were from English department. I think it's great achievement of me..:)

humairaku, until now, when you are active here, do you still need a dictionary or translator software??

Hi, Bounce...Hi, Enelym..I'm also glad hearing this from both of you..as I said before to people here that I never thought before that being active in Mylot could give this kind of effect. I like English since I was teenager and using English is one of my favorite so I don't mind with Mylot which makes us using in English in our participation. yeah, i should admit that it was hard in the beginning cos English is not my mother language and it's been long time I don't use it. so I need to dig my memory of my vocabularies again so I can write good sentences. and now I can see that my English ability is increasing significantly, and it's really out of my consciousness. and I'm really glad of it..

Aw same thing I am feeling too. I normally take a lot of my time thinking what to respond in discussions. And I do hope one day it will be really easy for me to come up with longer and sensible discussions and responses.

and maybe you can join Toefl test after you spend so many time here.. trust me, your english ability will be better if you are active discussing here..

Thanks Sijabatnaburjut..:) I have joined TOEFL test for four times if I'm not mistaken..My first score was average. the second test, I got worst score than my first score..LOL..the third test I got better. I got big progression in my third test cos it's my first time getting 500. and now, in my fourth test, i get the highest score, 516. In my first and second test, I hadn't joined Mylot. in my third and fourth test, I have joined Mylot. that's why I said that my score increased not because I was lucky, but also because I accustomed using English because of being active in Mylot. how about your score? why did you say that you never passed TOEFL test? is there a minimum score to pass that test? I don't even know it..LOL..

hi Airkulet..I'm sorry if the information makes you confused..:) I joined in Mylot in 2009 so today is almost three years I spend my days here in Mylot..But I ever quit doing Mylot for almost two years and I made my comeback for about few months ago Maybe the right saying about me is that I'm old but new..LOL..and I don't know how Mylot seize my activity, but I joined this site in 2009.. TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language. People do the test to measure their ability in English. The test consists of three parts: listening section, grammar and reading. It is difficult test since English is foreign language for me. The score will show us how good our English is. For countries which don't speak English, TOEFL score is used to get scholarship from reputable universities or for going abroad such as to US or other Western countries..

Congratulations, I am happy for you, my mother are not English also, but I don't think they have a test like that here in the Philippines. And so by joining Mylot it sharpen your grammar right, even though you are not that active as other users do here, wish I had that skills too

Thanks a lot Airkulet..I was so glad too reaching this score. Maybe for people out there my score is not too high but for people around me this score is good enough so I was so glad reaching this score. I need few years studying English to reach this score. So I think I deserve to get it..LOL..

Hi, Enelym..thanks for being happy for me..I really appreciate it..:) I ever made a discussion that using English in Mylotting could be very hard for people like me and Adhyz who don't speak English everyday. But now I realize that by doing Mylotting everyday I can see that my English ability is increasing. I never thought about this before. I just think that using English is sometimes hard for me and it emerges laziness inside me to do Mylotting. but now my opinion has changed. maybe using English is hard but I can get big advantages from that hard thing. and now I'm very proud cos my TOEFL score is the highest among my friends..

Well from how you are typing your words now, I couldn't see that you are struggling in English. You seem natural in English. I guess I have to stay more active here as well reading more and interacting more. I wanna be better in English too

yeah..you're right..actually I never thought before that my activity here can support my English ability. First time I joined this site was because I was interested in making money so I never thought that by doing Mylot regularly I can increase my English skill as well. Even I ever stopped doing Mylot cos I was so bored using English every time I had activity here, the I decided to quit doing Mylot for almost two years when I reached $5..Today I've just realized that my activity here done not for nothing but it really works to improve my English skill..It's great!

yeah it's like hitting two birds with one stone you are earning while learning you are improving your English skills at the same time you are earning some money..isn't it great?

you're right about typing speed and knowledge. I can get more than friend here. i have problem but I have also the solving. I think this place is so amazing cos we can get a lot and being paid. first time joined this site, I thought that this place is like Facebook. but today I find that Mylot is more than Facebook, I mean Mylot is better. no, not only about cash merely but it's more than that. we know that we cn't say something useless here, so people here tend to write something useful instead such us popular news, celebrity, or even food recipes! maybe we can do this on Facebook, but there are only few people do this. most people on Facebook just tell about themselves and it's getting boring and boring. yeah, we can use our mother language o Facebook, not like on Mylot that you should use English, but because we can share nothing on Facebook except our daily activity, it turns to soething boring to do..-__-

Hi Lamfido..just what Adhiz said, welcome to Mylot..you know what I feel so flattered cos your first post is for ME..!! it really really amazed me cos I never had like this before, I mean I never got a response which is the first post of someone, so it was so exciting getting response from you. and I really appreciate it..! I don't have tips actually cos when I got here for the first time I was so confused just like you today. but it's OK cos you will accustom with all of these and by the days go by you will learn much soon. all we need is only big passion cos if we don't have it, we will give up when our posts reach 20..LOL..just keep giving response, add interest and friend, then try to start a discussion. yeah, I do agree with you, Youless. I never thought before that I can learn English here. I know that we should use English in Mylotting but I never think thet it will improve my English. Maybe Mylot doesn't help me extend my vocabulary but Mylot does help me to make me accustomed in using English as daily language, not for speaking but writing. But it is useful enough cos I need to write English in my daily work so by writing in Mylot regularly I can be more fluently in writing English..

yes, humairaku, if mylot add listening feature, it really helps you and maybe me too if someday i want to take TOEFL test... but it`s not easy humairaku..it need many bandwith and maybe storage for keeping the voice data maybe

Thanks a lot, Dhawanbm..I feel so happy too cos I can get good score in that test..You know what, I didn't study anything before having the test, but fortunately I could do the test very well. In my previous test, I had difficulty in understanding text so I couldn't answer the questions well. But I felt little it different in my latest test. I can understand text better than before. Yeah, Mylot doesn't help in listening section, but it helps me accustomed with English. It's important I think..:)

I do agree with you, Thatgirl..I never think before that my English will improve significantly by Mylotting almost everyday. TOEFL test doesn't require written test actually so I don't need to write anything in English during the test but Mylot helped me by easing me in understanding the text. Do you know that there are many texts in the test and the time given is not too long so we are required to read and understand the text as soon as possible then we should answer some questions related with the text. I can feel that I can understand the text more easily in the test not like in my previous TOEFL test..I'm sure that it's because of Mylotting..LOL..

I think I'm the only one who get this kind of advantages from Mylot..but from this discussion I know now that there are members here get same advantage as mine..LOL..I can feel that I can write sentences in English much more easier since I've been active in Mylot. I also get improvement in giving opinion in English. I mean I can express what I want to say easier though I should write it in English. I'm sure that it because of Mylot.. I do agree with you lifes..this what people said practice makes perfect. I learned English since I was kid but I just learned it as subject at school. I never practiced it outside my school cos beside I had no partner to practice my English with but also I was not too good in English. But today, I become an English teacher. It makes me learning English more than before. I was not English department graduation but I have ability in English so I can teach English. It required hard effort at the beginning but now I can say that I have made bi progression in my English ability. then I also join Mylot which makes my English writing increases so significantly..
