For the past week I was having my exams. I did not prepared much for it. I just considered as simple. I am a person who has above average in all subjects but for this time I don't know what has happened to me.I don't know why my mind turned so.
Did you people ever saw exams as simple ?
Which exam ? Did you got passed in that exam ?
How can I change myself ? How can i become serious ?

Hello thewonderboy,
I never took exams so lightly though i was always an above average student in my school as well as college life.It depends on person to person as i was always serious because i had a fear in my mind that if i won't get good marks what my parents will say that's why i used to study more before the exams.

Try to take some time to set some goals. Don't make them to hard or to far in the future. If you can center your mind and work toward those goals you will feel much more grounded. AS you grow older if you have given yourself this habit of goal setting you will benefit much more then others who never learned to set goals.

I completed all of my student life with the same attitude! Of talking them as simple. It doesn't mean though that I didn't study well. I used to study set hours all through but during or before the exams, I never used to pressure myself with deep anxiety or such. In fact, just to shed that must read more feeling, I used to go to a movie on the day prior to a subject paper!. I don't suggest this could be done. It was just that it worked for me.
Studying must be taken as an enjoyable pursuit rather than a highly demanding and tense pursuit. The ability to absorb & retain enhances in that way. Try if this works.

there was similar experience for me too...
I know the answers but I couldn't tell the answer due to shyness.
Do you have such experience ?
Knowing the answer and can't express it
I was blush in front of every one.

In my school days, I started to wake up whole night for exams in the public exam time. and that continued in the college days too. but, that didn't work a lot as in school as the portions were heavy. so, I had a lot of arrears.
but, in the final year of college, clearing all the papers in the last semester will get first class. So, out of confidence, i believed that, whatever I studied with concentration will not be forgotten.
Things were different this time. I just had a glance and went to sleep early as usual as I had no exams, the next day. Believe it or not, I passed all the papers.
What I like to say is, have good observation at class hours and that will help you a lot. No tension!

I've always considered myself good with numbers. And I finished university with an engineering degree.
A few years ago, I took some courses to get a management certification. One of the subjects I took was statistics. I was surprised to see how easy it was. I never studied yet the exams were really simple for me. I even passed it with high marks.

Hi thewonderboy,
I think one should take all exams seriously. After all exams are meant to test your understanding and competence on the subject. No matter how 'simple' the exam is I'll always prepare for it. One shouldn't be complacent. There will always be surprises. I believe in getting as high a mark as possible. You can be serious about exams by motivating yourself and take pride in getting excellent results. Good grades will be very important for entrance to renowned universities and for job opportunities. Have a nice day.

I'm a student too and I worry about exams a lot. I'm in my senior year and next year will be my final exams which will determine which career I could do and which university I can go to. It's quite competitive in my country. I don't try to consider any exams to be simple because they're always not. It would be so disappointing to claim an exam to be easy only to get back really bad results. Sometimes being too confident isn't good and don't boast about it either because people will expect a lot from you. Even when I did find an exam quite easy, I would tell everyone that it was alright. If it was hard, I would say it was very hard. I tend to be quite pessimistic but it's better to expect low and then to get really high marks! There were times where I didn't really try to study because I didn't care for this one subject and I ended up coming first in that exam. Then when I really tried for an exam that I really cared for, I did really bad. It's so unpredictable but really, study hard and put in the effort. Usually hard work pays off because you would rather be safe than sorry.

all the exam i have given in those bundles of paper are always easy for me, beacuse i am always ready to write and answered them. but the most difficult exam i am facing in my life, beacause it is already started with so may question around and answering them is seems to be the difficult one for me. life has a meaning that i have learned in my life and but how to find that meaning is the real question. i tryed to find all those question in books but all goes in vain because the writers of the books still finding the same answer, may be the happiness has something to do with the meaning of life.
