New year is coming and most of us if not all always writes or promises so many things. I will be better, I will be saving for my future, I will do my job will, I will not get angry with others, I will healthy and eating less unhealthy food. But another year you again do the same thing that you promised not to do. Do you do the same or you stick to your resolutions. Me, I usually ended doing same habit which will be my resolutions for the coming year.

Hi!
I used to make new year's resolutions every year but I noticed that I don't follow it so I stopped. But this year, I am determined to follow my one and only new year's resolution. I was just lying in bed when I thought of it. I'm going to start going to church. And I already started it last Sunday, January 1. But I'm not pressuring myself to regularly go on Sundays. Just going to church on days I can will be enough change for me. Last year, I did not even go once. Even during Christmas and my birthday, I did not go to church. So I'll start going to church gradually until it becomes regular.

Good that you will. I am not also that religious but we need God and we need prayers, whether you are a catholic or what religion you belong. I see to it also that I go to church and hear mass every Sunday or Saturday afternoon. I also pray the rosary while on my way to work. It helps and it reduces my tension and my stress.

Yes, prayers are really comforting. Reassuring. I can feel that now.

I almost never make food resolutions at the new year mostly because my birthday is in a few weeks and i will blow any diet I start on.
My big resolution is to get rid of the same amount of stuff that I bring into the house. I went through my sock drawer and got rid of all the nylons that had runs in them and then went out and bought new ones to replace them. IF I do it the other way around, I never get around to the getting rid of stuff and then all of my dresser drawers are full.

Thanks for the reply. Happy new year! As to socks, what I do now, I buy same kind and color of socks so that if one get lost while washing or one got ripped off then I can pair it with the other one. But I can make use of them for months or even years.

I used to make personal resolutions but when I used to break my promises I would usually get frustrated, so every following year I would be less compromised and so on.
In the end I would stick with something I heard or read, don't remember where or when:
There's no need to wait for the beggining of a new year to start any resolution, specially a good one, start today, right now, if you break your promise, get up and continue, you are human, you will do mistakes but in the end you're learning from them.

Happy New Year! How nice of you. We can write or make promises on what we can do. Everyday is Christmas Day, is New Years Day, we do good and everything will do good, if there is something wrong it will be corrected later on.
