I think resolutions should not only be made every new year. It should be made daily and the resolutions should be aligned with what you want to achieve in your life. This coming new year, I did not made any resolution because I have a new life ahead of me now that I have a business to run. How about you???

My only resolution is stop drinking diet soda! It is a big addiction to me and besides being expensive it is not good for you. I have one 12 pack of soda in the house and once that is done I am done. Now I might get a soda out occassionally but I am going to be sticking to water when I am out. At home, we have a water cooler so I can make different drinks with the powder tubes and I can make ice tea with a healthy sweetener in it.

Hi kimbers867. Soda is not really good for our health. It taste so good though. It would help if you have some juices around. Good luck and I hope you'll have a prosperous new year.

Hi DayTimeDreamer. That is good. I have the same plans too. I want to continue my 2 years masters degree in education. And to give me more time, I need to get a part-time job as well. I may focus on writing. Then I need to develop a fitter physique. Good luck to both of us.

For me, I'll try to be more persistent in my goals and believe more in myself that theres nothing impossible I can do as long as I'm willing for it. And I will be more obedient to my parents and to those older than me and avoid conflicts and quarrels as much as possible. And be more wise and not letting anyone to fool me or dictate me.

I have never really done resolutions, but the roomie and I have decided to go back on our diet, and start exercising more for the New Years.

That is good. I need to do some exercising as well. My body becomes lethargic when I don't go out and exercise. I may get my running shoes and resume jogging. Have a great day!

New year's resolutions are some of the things i consider to be irrelevant to me. First of all i forget about them by the time it hits mid January. Resolutions need commitment to be achieved. Time is essentially important for it to be attained. And i don't have time to do any of the things i have in mind.

Hi ardieboi. When you say you don't have time, it means you are very busy already achieving your goals in life. Then, you don't need a New Year's resolution at all. Hope you'll be successful in your endeavor.

I think I'm not gonna make my own new year's resolution. Last few years I've made tons of new year's resolution but nothing comes true. I'm just gonna change the things I want to change when I want it. I won't wait this time to make a resolution. Have a happy new year snowhybiscuis and mylotters.

Hi rusale. Happy New year to you too. Change should really be made when you see it is needed to be done. Good luck to you and hope you'll have all the good things you wish for.

Not yet, and good chance I won't. In my experience these resolutions are not worth much. Obviously, I am revealing that I do not have the discipline to stick with them.

It does not mean you are not too disciplined. Maybe, you are better off without a New Year's resolution. But I hope you know where you are leading your life to. Good luck!

Jim and I, well, mostly me, made the resolution to get out finances under control this year. I created a budget about 3 weeks ago, trying to incorporate our expenses and income. I know I missed some expenses but we did get a nice surprise: he receives disability from the military and we just received his COLA adjustment. That's getting banked immediately. I've been trying to start my 401k plan through work--never had one of those before, so that's my personal goal. I'm also trying to reactivate my Sharebuilder accounts, and get back to investing. I believe this year will be much better for us!

I resolve to exist for 12 months. It's best to keep resolutions easy to achieve, that way I am not too disappointed.

That's an easy task indeed. But it can be hard if God would not allow. So pray that He'll help you exist.

I usually make New Year's resolutions and stick to them. This year, I am making the vow to exercise more. I usually exercise 2 or 3 days a week, but I should be doing more I am disabled and exercise so that my muscles don't atrophy, and not to lose weight. I can't do strenuous exercises like aerobics, of course losing weight would be a nice plus.

That's nice to hear. You can actually achieve your resolutions if you focus and commit to it. I believe you would be able to achieve your goal. Though you said you are disabled, still you get to achieve more than what others can. I don't regularly exercise and I envy you in that aspect. Have a great day!!!

Yes, I agree that resolutions should not be made every new year but throughout the year and make sure that we will be able to do any of them. My new year's resolution is to be a little bit of a workaholic and also a dedicate mom to my soon-to-be newborn baby this April.

Your child would motivate you to achieve your goal. Good luck. Your child is lucky to have a mother like you.

I agree with you 100 percent, which is why I didn't make any New Year resolutions. Most people who make them will end up breaking them. Like you, I also think that we should make small daily goals. I think that helps keeps us even more motivated, and putting off things until the near year. Happy New Year to you.

Hi propectboy. Happy New Year to you too. As of today, I was not feeling well because of colds. But I said to myself that I need to achieve something. And so I sat on my computer and looked at what I can do online that would help me earn something. With this small tasks, I hope to earn little by little and someday, it may be enough to cash it out. That's actually my outlook in life. To deposit a little each day and who knows, someday it would turn out to be of big value. Have a great day!!!

I dont think this 'new year resolution' works for me but i have seen so many who took resolution and finding hard to implement it.I always think that if you want to keep your promise to yourself then you should not think about any particular day.It happens suddenly and then one has to analyse his take on that particular thing.

Taking one step of at a time each day... that's how I handle my daily activities. I keep a goal in mind though and I align my activities to that goal. Seeing the future and what I want to achieve helps me bring direction to my life.

For 35 years, I made resolutions and made them and made them, then I realized I was an utter failure in keeping them, then I made the only sane resolution I could live with, that I will stop making resolutions forthwith.

That also happened to me before. But now, I just set goals that is easier for me to achieve. Have a great day!!!

I am no longer making a New Year's resolution. I always don't achieve it so I better not make one. For me it is better to just live my life and achieve what I can achieve. If I fail I won't have to feel sad that I didn't reach the goal or resolution I have set or made for myself.

Hi enelym001. You may not have a new year's resolution but I'm sure you create goals each day of your life. Simple goals that are practical. It is still helpful if we plan what we want to achieve in life. Happy new year to you.

Congratulations on having your own business! That's really exciting! I have lots of resolutions, and I agree with you. We should set goals daily & keep in mind what we want to achieve in our lives. I would like to excel in school, and by that I mean make nothing lower than a "B." And I want to either do well at my job or find something that is better suited to me and to my abilities. But above all, my new year's resolution is to be the best mother and wife I can be.

You may not be 18 y.o. forever but deep within you, your age or the person may not age. But there are some good things associated with aging. One thing is becoming matured and learning from experiences. I hope that you'll maintain a childlike disposition in life. Remain happy and jovial.
