Sorry for the 'naturally' bit - the kitchen sink is blocked right now and we're just not keen to put sink unblocker down it until tonight as we still need to use it for food etc. We've tried vinegar, boiling hot water and baking powder but no good so far - any other ideas? Thank you in advance! :)

i'm sure you have tried this already but the most natural way i can think of is a sink plunger, either that, or if you are feeling brave, the u bend under the sink probably has a blockage in it, and its not that difficult to unscrew it, clear it out and put it back, with the right equipment.
or soda crystals might work. but i'm not a plumber, so only try clearing out the u bend if you feel qualified.

its not as scary as it looks, as long as you have something underneath to catch the water, i have done it a couple of time, its more messy scary than technical scary,

Hello Bella. Clogged kitchen sink are a real pain. Since the vinegar and baking soda and boiling water didn't work I would take a wire coat hanger and straighten it out and try snaking it down the sink. If that doesn't work then you may have to take the goose neck joint off and clean it from there.

Try Bleach. When I have this problem I pour bleach down the drain let it sit for about 20 minutes and then run hot scalding water down it. That will open the drain for you. If that don't work go to the hardware store and buy a snake to run through your drains. Its a wire that you feed into the drains that dislodge any blockage you may have. Good luck I hate plumbing problems.

I'm not sure if there is a Mr. Muscle Kitchen Sink Declogger in your area but that's what I used when the kitchen sink was clogged. I just followed the instructions in the bottle and it worked like magic! I think it's been 6 months already but the sink is still unclogged til now. :)
Hope you find a solution to your kitchen sink soon.

Everytime our kitchen sink gets blocked, and since we do not have a sink plunger, we use, in addition to what you have mentioned, detergent powder soap or dishwashing liquid. And of course, patience.
