Do you think the world will end in 2012?

The New Year will be coming in a few hours and it's not just any other new year, it's the year 2012, a year famous for being the target of many doomsday predictions. I just realized that the last time there ever was such a hype for the new year was in the year 2000, the dawn of the new millennium wherein people were scared of the Y2K bug. Now, people are saying that the world might end in 2012, 12.12.2012 to be exact as dramatized in a famous movie. Common people would usually dismiss this as another hoax equivalent to the Y2K scare. But with the many natural calamities that occurred throughout the world recently like the earthquakes in Japan, flashfloods in the Philippines, tsunamis, landslides, and the like, most people are discussing that these events may be some sort of preparation for even more catastrophic things coming up later. It's sort of scary but I choose to believe that the Lord knows what He is doing. And we shouldn't worry about anything as He has told us in Hi Word.
