Being a schizophrenic for a long time,I do like to share some tips that could be of use to others like me.Being philosophical in life is always an asset.I had worked hard to succeed in life and did succeed.Yet this illness destroyed most of my dreams. That was the time I learned to be philosophical. My advise to you is,life is too short to be spent on worry.Even the most successful person in life gains nothing worth talking about once his time in this world comes to an end.Don't compare yourself with others. It is not going to be of use to anyone.Accept reality and as I always do,when I feel overwhelmed,I say to myself,"life is tough and there is not much you can do about it". Keep life simple and like in cricket,if the ball is there to be hit,hit it.If not, leave it.

I have pondered on what to say to you for a few hours. I am very glad for your positive attitude, and I think positive helps people overcome mental and physical challenges a lot.
Don't ever let an illness destroy you or your dreams. If need be find new hopes and dreams that you can pursue within your limits.
Life is short, I agree with you, and you are right you can not compare yourself to others, just as parents with special needs children who battle physical and mental disabilities can not compare their child to other children.
However, keeping life simple is not always an option as life will throw us many curve balls and troubles and trials our way, what we have to do is face these and not let fear over take us with these troubles and obstacles, for if we do its all to easy to fall back into something we are comfortable with.
You have a great attitude and that attitude will help you go a long way.
