Wikipedia is one of my favorite website. Despite of some people doubt about their contents' reliability, Wikipedia still provide us tons of great information. And we can't say that contents in Wikipedia are all fake. In fact, there're lots of useful information, and if we re-check the contents with their references, I can say that most contents (which I had red so far) in Wikipedia are written in good quality.. :) Anyway, as you may already realize, Wikipedia Team had made a lot of appeals to invite Wikipedia reader to contribute in Wikipedia by donating. All elements in Wikipedia Team - the founder, programmer, writer, etc - had made their own appeal. I think some of them had turned famous now because of that publicity ~just kidding xD Well, they had take the harder way. While they surely can get a lot of support from advertisements (not only support, they can make profits as well! :D), they prefer to keep Wikipedia advertisement-free. Now I am curious, what's your opinion about this? Do you prefer Wikipedia with advertisement-free (and the appeals may appear once in year..), or do you think Wikipedia should go commerce and allow advertisements - and what's the reason? Personally, I love Jimmy Wales' (Wikipedia founder) spirit: "Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn't belong here. Not in Wikipedia. When I founded Wikipedia, I could have made it into a for-profit company with advertising banners, but I decided to do something different. We’ve worked hard over the years to keep it lean and tight. We fulfill our mission, and leave waste to others." How about you? :)
