hello,
I am also a chocolate lover, I also eat chocolate whenever I want but I can still control myself eating it by giving myself something else like fruits, I make myself full to it. In this way i am not craving for chocolate anymore. And also I do not go to the store which I know there are lots of chocolate because I know I will attempt to eat and buy those. Good luck!

Hi jakeyangchao
Instead you eat much chocolate. you eat any sweet item. whenever you think to have chocolate, you go and buy some sweets an have it. It helps to avoid of having chocolate.

I ´m addicted to chocolate so I don´t buy any. I only eat it (until there´s no more left) when someone brings some as a gift. Although it is known that bitter chocolate is healthy, I´m sure it is not healthy in the amounts I could eat. So I just keep away from it.

No problem there, just choose a black one.
Pure chocolate that does not contain sugar and milk. This kind of chocolate are known to be useful.

I was a chocolate addict 4 years ago. I was as crazy as you, I needed to eat anything and everything that had chocolate in it. I could not resist it, there would not be a day where I did not have large bowl of chocolate ice cream, or have chocolate M & Ms in my bag or eat chocolate cake on my way to work. I was just super crazy about it until one sudden day i started to get these HUGE RASHES on my hands, it was very itchy. The more I would itch the more it use to increase, and then it started coming on my face. I had no idea what was going on, until I went to the doctor and she told me I got chocolate allergy. That my body can not take it anymore, even a small little bite of it would cause my whole body to turn into a Freak show of rashes and they were HUGE. Anyways still I would not understand the intensity of it, until I had to be hospitalized for it. So my mother decided to get me a new habit because I loved strawberries next best. So started bring strawberries for me, and its been for 4 years that I have left my addiction with the help of strawberries. I can eat chocolate now, but I prefer not to because I do not feel the crave anymore.
I hope my story helps you.
Best of luck!

i guess you have to find strong things to do to distract you from eating chocolate. I can only recommend you to try outside activities like cycling or hiking. not only you can reduce the weight, you can interact with lots of people during the activities. It can increase your motivation. if you feel hungry, just drink plain water instead of taking big meal.

This is good advice. Other activities like cycling and hiking can really help take your mind off your chocolate craving.

I have heard if you get a job in a chocolate factory, work amongst it all day every day you go off it after awhile...but hey there are worse addictions than chocolate, that is a good one...I say enjoy but maybe limit it a little..

I find if the temptation is not around me, I don't think about it. I would get rid of all the chocolate in your house so, it won't be so easy to find whenever you want it.

Don't buy any! Buy things that are better choices like fruit or veggies. I know it's not the same BUT it's better for you. I know I crave it alot in winter but not buying it really is key for me as well as drinking enough water so I'm feel full and have less cravings.

Hi jake,
The only person who can help you overcome this craving is you yourself. First of all you must want to stop this 'habit' and you are very serious about it. In other words you must have a strong desire to want to quit and be fully committed. Tell yourself you are going to stop eating right now. Not even a small piece. No half measure. At first you may experience withdrawal symptom but it will pass. I know of people who gave up smoking purely based on will power. You know it's more difficult to quit smoking but it can be done. Believe me and believe in yourself. I wish you success and all the best in your undertaking.

Well, have you tried removing all chocolate from your house? I have a chocolate addiction too but I know chocolate is bad i you eat too much so I just limit myself to eating a certain amount each day. I'm a sugar lover too and I love chocolate but too much sweets will have a very bad effect on our health in the future. If you love chocolate that much, consider daily exercise! I try to have a healthy routine and I exercise for about an hour each day. I just jog for about an hour a day, trust me it will make you feel so much fitter and happy! Also don't over eat, if I ate too much chocolate I'd probably get sick eventually so just limit the amount to stop those annoying cravings.
Chocolate can be pretty addictive so you better hold back. I actually watched this show where this woman was addicted to chocolate. This man came to her house who was a professional and taught her how to resist the temptations of chocolate. He told her that every time she sees chocolate, she should think of something very nasty. It actually works and she didn't want to touch the chocolate anymore so maybe try that.

I also love chocolates but at the same time I was told by my dermatologist to stay away from them. Whenever I feel the urge to eat some I always remember what my face used to be with many pimples and then because of that I lose my urge. You could try to think of what you'll become if you try to eat more and more chocolates and maybe it'll help.
