Superstitions and New Year

I bet most of us welcomed the new year with pocketful of money(specially coins), wearing red or polka dots clothes, open all windows, doors and lights, made loud noises ,jumped up and down and etc.....It won't hurt to believe in these superstitions but do you really believe that by doing these you'll get the assurance of a good life all through out the year? Just want to hear your insights, thank you and have a prosperous year ahead

There are a lot of practices like this in many occassions. This may be superstitions or reality. But doing so we will get a psychological satisfaction.We cant say that by doing so we will get the assurance of good life throughout the year.

So sorry for the late response...yeah, our fate depends on how we handle our lives. Eventhough we follow those practices but do not take actions on how to be in line with what we want then we can't achieve anything.
