Its a new year and the time when many persons are in a introspective and retrospective mood and this usually leads to the making of new resolutions and analysis of the achievement of old resolutions . Consequently I find this a very fitting time to ask all my fellow mylotters if they achieved all that they had hoped for 2011 ?

Financial short term goals were met. We paid off the credit card debt and are working at rebuilding our savings. Our next step is to really start investing in our retirement accounts and our daughters college fund. I found a new job that I really love and feel competent in. Got my daughter potty trained. Not so good: keeping caught up on house work...that will be another resolution for this year.

Wow that's a pretty good achievement .Not many of us can say we are rid of credit cards debt .I myself seem to be digging a deep hole in that department for myself

LOL I guess we don't have much that's in our control so we must have to be happy for the seemingly simple joys like being alive and healthy .I hope there will only be good health and rich blessing and you will live to see that grandson of yours happily married .Thanks for your response Antique

I didn't accomplish a thing that I intended to in 2011. Oh well, another year another opportunity.

Actually, 2011 is a year that I would rather wipe away from my life because it was a really bad year for my family and for myself. With that said, I resolved that our family would be more financially stable in 2011 than we had been in 2010 and that wasn't able to happen because of things that were beyond our control. With that said, the things that I've resolved to do for this year are all pretty simple things that I should definitely be able to achieve.

I don't have any resolution for year 2012, I feel like my days just pass by without significant meaning at all. I was trying my best to be success. But it wasn't easy, and I still feel like I fail myself miserably. Maybe I should force myself to work harder, and make a stronger stand for what I want to be.

I have not started anyresolution in the year 2011... I have not thought of any for this year too, except that i told my self that this year i will increase my faith in God, call unto him all the time and will be positive all through out.

No. I didn't. I carried them over for 2012. I sure hope my goals will be reached this time.

Hi ronnyb, I don't think that I've made any resolutions in recent years and I don't plan to make any this year. I hope to continue to work on being a better husband, parent and friend, to be more respective of others and to listen more and talk less. Blessings.

I usually make resolutions, and believe it or not, I keep them; but in 2011 I didn't make any. I needed a vacation from resolutions. I have made a couple for 2012 that I needed to make and need to keep.

Actually, I forgot what I have resolved to do. But since losing weight is always in the list, I guess I did well on that part. So, I'm giving myself a pat on the back right now. However, I still have not achieved my ideal weight so I will still add losing weight in my list.
