In the last game India lost to Australia. It was really a surprise to me. What do you think the reason for this? May be reasons? As a Sri Lankan I am very happy that Sri Lanka won a match at last. The next team I am supporting is India so i am really curious about this.

India will have to prioritize test cricket, else they will keep losing the way it is happening with them from last few test series. MS Dhoni as all we know is a wonderful oneday player, but when it comes to tests his batting talent exposes when he comes on to bat. He has kept on playing the same way in tests over the years, this shows that he isn't as interested in test cricket as in onedayers. This reflects with Indian test team as well, i remember he said in one of the press conferences in England that India will play 60-70% of tests in home conditions in which they will be capable of winning over any kind of opposition.
If you will play with the escapist tendency(current scenario) in test cricket then you wont be able to perform outside Asian conditions, prior concern and seriousness should be given to overseas test series. This was the main reason why saurav ganguly is popular among Indian fans as he prioritized test cricket and took overseas test tours very seriously.
MS Dhoni will have to prioritize test cricket both as a captain and as a player, even it is happening to sachin when he is equally taking all forms of the game seriously.
I hope as a indian fan that india will comeback strongly but not sure whether they will be able to register a series win because miracle doesnt happen in test cricket, it can only happen in IPL.

Hey there,
Could not agree more on it. I had been a great fan of Dhoni for a long time till we were #1 in Tests. The last test or the tests in England or even in last test against SA, he was really defensive, even if we were in good position against the opposition. I cant forget last test in SA. I think we had 7-8 wicket of SA in the third inning but due to defensive dhoni, we could not win first ever series there. Dhoni was happy as he did not loose.
Why can't he seize the opportunity in tests as he does in onedays? :-(

I just think this is another case of starting problems for India. For the past few years, India has played poorly in the first match in an overseas tour. Time and again the batting has collapsed in the first tests and that is what has happened here again.
Cheers!

Well it was a flop show of Indian batting line.
Bowlers their job pretty well but batsmen did not support them at all.
If there is not proper cooperation between the too, it will surely lead to the dismal and that is what happened with them. Indians have the legendary batting line but still sometimes they play as if they are not playing even the domestic cricket.
Lets hope that they will learn from their mistakes and will teach Australians a nice lesson in upcoming matches.
