Sachin, SCG (Sydney) and the most awaited centum.....

Yes this is an amazing stat that I read recently tooo. I knew he has always played well there but never knew his average. I remember the 2003-04 series he failed in the entire series and then went on to score 241* and 60 * in Sydney.. So it is more like a home away from home for him and it is probably destined he should make this elusive century there. Moreover, Sachin really looked in good touch in both innings and was easily India's best batsmen in the first test. I just hope he carries on with this form and gets the century he deserves and India win the test :) Cheers )

All indians are awaiting for that moment (me too). I don't know why he is struggling at "Nervous nineties"... Hope he'll reach the great milestone on his favorite ground..

Yes, Sydney Cricket Ground has been a happy hunting ground for Sachin till now. I am sure Sachin will get the 100th ton but when we can only guess till it really happens. I sure hope Sachin scores big runs and India wins the Second Test in Sydney. It will be a big morale booster for Indian Team given the criticism after Melbourne loss. I also feel Australian Media is playing up the issue of Sachin's 100 in a bid to put extra pressure on the little master which sadly won't work. Difficulty for Sachin to play his normal game and score centuries has increased with all Media hype and increased expectations of fans. Who knows century might happen when nobody really is expecting! well vishalssgk now Sachin has no other choice because India was bundled out for 191 and Australia batted superbly. Now Michael Clarke had scored his first double hundred. Sachin started his first innings in SCG but got out to a bad ball. Hope he is more patient enough in second innings and somebody from other end gives him company, so that he can score a big one and great partnership is build up. It is herculean task for little master and his team to save this 2nd test because already 291 runs lead is build up and Indian bowlers are struggling to get out Clarke and Hussey. So, I will be surprised if India were able to make a draw..

Hi, Yes, in fact I thought either Edan at kolkata or Mumbai Wankhede we could watch his much awaited 100.. but now it really seems to be another wait at Sydney. I believe he is playing good cricket itself is an achievement as of today for us to be proud but yes, 'yeh dil maange more' from Sachin!

In this form he surely going to get his century very soon, the only thing is the right time. Looking for master to complete his century in SCG. All the Best Sachin. Yes, SCG is his favorite ground in Australia. I remember both his double century and his knock of 169 which he had here. Both were fantastic knocks. The double century nearly won us the match and the series, but we fell just short. Let's hope this year he scores the century and we win the match as well. Cheers! Ram

In my opinion Sachin can perform in any ground under any circumstances. His potential to score runs even at this age is incredible. That shows his class and this separates him from other players. I am sure that thia time Sachin won't miss the chance and he will score his most awaited century in the second test and this will be the greatest New Year gift he can give to his fans.

Somehow India has to pull back this test match if this series has to remain live and interesting.SCG is lucky ground for Sachin and for Laxman as well. I hope India bats first and scores heavily. If India score big than Australia could be made to struggle by India fast bowlers. Any thing in excess of 350 can turn the match in India favors.
