My MyLot New Year's Resolution

Okay, I tried this new year's resolution a couple of years ago here on MyLot. What was it? To post one interesting discussion/question/post per day. That would mean, at least, 366 (because it's a leap year) posts in 2012. I didn't come close last time. So let's see how far I can get this year. Interesting discussions are hard to come by for me. How 'bout you?

that is quite intersting, I never made a resolution like that before. I just set a weekly goal for my writing assignments and I always met my goal and I am happy.

I am the worst when it comes to setting goals. You're pretty wise to set more reasonable goals. I'm thinking I should do that too.

That some great. I am 2 month old in mylot and making a new year's resolution is quite a good idea. Mine would be stay active here and post quality responses. I am looking forward on making more money here. Let's see how much I will earn here.

You've already posted quite a lot of discussions in two months. Well done. And quality responses can't hurt. Keep it up champoy.

Yes, because I like staying here. I like participating in different discussions. Aside from earning money, I learn alot of things from other mylotters. They are all great. They share their knowledge to me. I really appreciate it. Happy new year to you!

I am having a hard time finding discussions when I want them, but I do not have time to post a discussion a day and keep up with responding to it. I do have one I need to post, and should do it really soon. Good luck with your plans. If we all do that there would be plenty of discussions for us to respond to.

And we can only hope they are quality discussions. But you're right, if we all posted one discussion a day we would have lots to respond to.

I don't have a new year's resolution but I do have a list of goals. I have them listed on my blog: http://findingdanu.wordpress.com/ Thats a very interesting resolution you have. It sounds like quite the tasks. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

I like those goals. The vegetable garden I have but I never learned how to can them. I pick wild berries all the time but again, have not learned how to can them. Guess I should learn. Good luck Monkeyrose.

I once tried to post one discussion in each interest group. But after a while my discussions seemed to get deleted as fast as they were posted so I stopped posting altogether. Good luck. I hope that you make it.

Ah yes, the fear of deletion. I will try to avoid that altogether. How many interest groups are there anyway. Seems like too many to post.

My MyLot new years resolution is to at least earn $20 by the end of this year from this site. It's good goal for me and I'm trying to post some every day.

Thats an interesting resolution, me I always make the same one and that is to eat more healthy food, and it works for awhile but some how I always go astray, too many fast food places to drive past.

Me too. I go back and forth with that one. And now I'm battling Candida from all those years of not eating healthy. So my diet right now has to be without flour, grains, fruit and sugar. Plus I can only drink distilled water. So eating healthy this year is more than a new year's resolution. But I know what you mean about those fast food places. So easy to grab and go.

I wish you the best of luck with doing that. I try to stick to things also but something always messes it up one way or another.

Yeah, I sympathies. It's so hard to stick to things. It's day two of the new year and I can't come up with a good discussion.

Good luck with that new resolution. I would find it really hard to do because I suck at creating new discussions. I just stick to answering other people's cool discussions. Only once in a green light do I come up with a discussion that I think and hopet that is interesting enough. Good Luck and Happy Mylotting!

I know huh? It is hard to come up with quality discussions every day. It's gonna be quite a challenge. But responding to other discussions is always appreciated.

hi gtargirl I do not really agree as I think there are plenty of interesting discussion on my lot.I really think its better to make fewer discussions, make them more rich and good quality and less that hit the deletion pile. I cannot do one every day and still have enou gh time to comment on all the responses I make.Be sure to check the different tabs for all the variety of discussions here at mylot.

No, I wasn't saying there aren't any quality discussions on MyLot, I was just saying that I have a hard time coming up with some good ones. It's usually easier for me to reply to someone else's discussion. I'm also a very bad debater. And some people on MyLot have so much knowledge it scares me.

Dear friend, while my congratulations for your diligent work here on Mylot. Just to answer your question, I can tell you this. If I stop to think at the keyboard, waiting for some concept came to mind to post here, probably I could never write a discussion of quality. Then I found this trick. During the day when maybe, perhaps outside the home witnessing an episode, or even just something that comes to mind here to publish, I note it. Doing so I then opening Myllot is easier to write talking about topics related to those I have noted. Then I'm trying to keep the middle to write just a around ten daily comments. This is my advice. In all ways good job!
