I was paid more than I got from my daily salary. If I am paid I will be doing the job. I promise. I sounded too rude, but that's life. Everything you do is for the reason of money, moreover, here I earned meager money, so I don't want to waste my time. Working on holidays is like a precious gift to me and I like to do that with my pleasure.

i often work over time. i am ateacher in a private school and our school has so many events to do. so we work over time in order to make our activities run well. and we get no extra cash for it. i think all jobs has responsibily and burden which sometimes force us to do more. but that is life. if we wanna less jebos, just commanding, be a boss

I'm glad I don't have regular job this time that's why I have all the time during the season. No time conflicts, so I was able to attend important gatherings without having problem to get permission from my boss. It's not actually like this before. when I was working I used to fail those who expect my presence during reunions and parties. My wish now is to have a high paying job that won't eat my time, but will give me more time to spend with my family.

You're lucky, some of my co-workers have to work during Christmas and New Year. Although I am really hesitant on going back to work. I go back tomorrow morning and it's just a pain to get up in the morning and take a bath.

I sometimes work more hours than what I'm scheduled... if I am asked to work extra. However, I don't usually work more than about 15 or 16 hours per week, so it's not technically considered overtime. When I used to work full-time, I worked overtime whenever I could... but it got to be too much & I pretty much had a nervous breakdown. So now I'm on disability & lovin' it! :)

yes, not because I want to but because I have to, my company schedules 12 hour shifts on the holidays. You are supposed to get one day or the other off (ex. Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, New Years Eve or New Years Day) but most employees are scheduled both but you do get paid holiday pay.

I don't get overtime as I only work part time. I do get some holiday pay though. I love it when hubby gets the opportunity to work overtime and even better on a holiday of some sort. It helps us out greatly, but it's also a rare occurance.
