If you use FB, do you ever getyour feelings hurt? I'll admit I do. I have been "unfriended" and wonder why. It does hurt. Also when I respond on other peoples statuses and they ignore mine it hurts a little. But overall I like FB :)

In the short time that I actually was on Facebook in a semi-regular basis, really no to be honest. Granted, I saw a lot of mutual friends get into it with some moderately hateful things and I'm sure that there are going to be a lot of times where people are going to feel slighted for whatever reason. Facebook does have an unfortunate dark side. But then again, Facebook really is something that even when I was on it, I never took anything that happened on it personally. Too seriously as it turned out. There were just a lot of times where people thought that Facebook was among the most serious things that could ever potentially happen. Its all good fun, but people take it to a level that is way too personal.

Im with you megamatt. I am on facebook on a somewhat regular basis but I don't take anything I see on there personally. If someone unfriends me then oh well they unfriend me. I use it to chat with my friends and family in other states/countries. I have a few friends in Europe and it's nice to get to talk to them from time to time. But I agree that some people just take facebook a little too seriously sometimes.

I do get my feelings hurt on facebook. I had 126 friends this morning. I just went to facebook and found that I now only have 125 so someone unfriended me. And I was just looking at my friends wondering who the person is. I have been unfriended by several persons over the years that I have been on facebook. And it hurts. Even worse is when I send a friend request to someone I know and they do not accept it. That has happened also. And sometimes, my postings on the walls of facebook friends are ignored. I try to understand but it sometimes hurts. I am glad that I am not the only person who feels this way.

yeah, same feeling as me... when i post something that is really improtant for me, and i thought it would make my friends notice that i needed them to talk with but would be ignored, ha.. that sure is something that would be hurtful. But for the number of friends, i think i do not really take notice how many friends i have and how many have been my friends or not since...

Not really, more annoyed. A friend from long time ago added me and another friend, updated her status several times a day (quite annoying) and then for some reason deleted us both as friends. As she added us we were quite miffed both of us. I usually never post anything private about feelings etc though, I keep that for messages etc.

No, I haven't hurt my feelings on facebook. When it comes to my facebook, there's nothing really important to look into. Facebook for me serves as tool so I have communications with my classmates. So it doesn't really matter to me.

Yes I have but I don't take it to heart people don't always think that what they say to you online doesn't hurt but it does. No big deal with being unfriendly if they don't want to be friends with you then good because they you should be friends with them if they can not tell you why they don't want to be friends. Not someone you want to be friends with.

This has never happened to me... Yes, some have deleted me in their friend's list but I don't remember them that's why I don't really mind. I will notice that my number of friends reduced but after a few days I will receive more friend requests, and if I think that they can be a good friend to me I add them It's like "if one door closes, two more open up for me". I post less updates on my wall compared to my other friends, because I makes sure to only post updates that will really make sure that people will react to it or they will leave a comment. I guess this is my way of avoiding posts being ignored, but I admit, there are times that my posts are neglected, but that doesn't really hurt my feelings at all.

I've experienced it before, and yes, it's a bit disappointing. and it's almost my three weeks I did not open my account on FB, just because I was disappointed with some of my friends there. and here I am, trying to find new friends, and I believe that here in mylot, everything very friendly and warm.
