So I was inspired by watching the talking Husky, Mishka, who has a big following on youtube, or at least compared to my followers. I started uploading videos of my own dog, Gandhi, doing normal dog stuff. I know it's not as cool as what some other Youtubers are doin but I was hoping that maybe I can slowly build up a fanbase and maybe earn some money once I get enough views for my videos.
I don't want to get discouraged but it is really hard to build up a fanbase and watching some of my favorite youtubers, it makes me wonder if they got discouraged at the beginning.
So far I've been posting the videos on my Facebook and on my twitter and asking friends to retweet or to watch. It doesn't seem like all of them have but I'm hoping that things will change.
So my questions is can any one give me some advice on how to attract more people? Or how I can make it more exciting for people? This question is especially for people that have youtube accounts and probably do have more experience than I do.

I think what a lot of succcesful you tubers have in common is that they didnt start off trying to gain a large fan base they started by making videos that they thought were cool and they were proud of.If your lucky other people will enjoy your videos if you make videos you think will be popular it is unlikely that it will be popular it is very hard to judge what is going to be popular on you tube. You could make one very highly viewed vid with misleading thumbnail and title but it wont gain you a loyal fanbase.Good luck on you tube and send me a link to your channel so i can sheck out your vids.

You're absolutely right. I think that my dog is really interesting and I'm going to keep posting videos even if they don't get a lot of views. I've seen her do some really funny things but I have yet to catch most of them on video so I will keep trying. It is hard to know exactly what will be popular and what won't be popular. I was checking some other videos of dogs doing amazing things on youtube and to my surprise they don't have nearly as many views as they should have. There was one dog who picked up his Christmas present from the floor jumped on to the sofa and opened the present with his teeth and took his out present. I thought that was really cool but I was surprised to see it didn't have that many views.
The link to my channel is on my profile page here on mylot where it says "My dog Gandhi"; thanks for the suggestion and for the support! Happy Mylotting!
