This morning I got a call from my credit card company, they are offering cash loan. They told me I have been selected for a cash loan of ten thousand pesos with .99% interest payable within 12 months, I was glad because the interest is small for a loan in a bank.I am confused whether to take the cash loan or not. I am now thinking of a better offline investment for that money. I don't need the money but I am thinking twice because I can use this money to make profit by investing it.

If there are no hidden extra costs, take it. Even if you put it in a bank for a year at 3%, you'll make money off it.

(That's assuming it's 0.99% for the YEAR, not per month, of course.)

If it's 0.99% per month, you're looking at almost 12% interest for the year - that's VERY high and you'll have more trouble finding a reliable opportunity to beat it. If it's per year, it's awesome.

Either its per month or per year my friend it will arrive in the same amount or interest. I calculated their interest and the amount is more or less 1100-1200. It is really a small interest to be paid for twelve months.

Good luck with investing online. that is very risky. I have done it and the company gained my trust and paid me a few times. I then, invested a much larger amount and they closed down and I lost all of my money.

hello stephcjh, I will not invest it online but in offline. I know a good investment online and the good thing is the investment is small and the profit is small also. I am thinking of opening a small store since i will be resining from my work. But I could only start for my business on may 2012 since my work contract is until april.

I am always being offered money. Credit cards are a way of slowly turning us into slaves. I prefer to save and then invest. If I lose, it´s my money I am risking and not the Bank´s money that I will have to pay later on.

I was also offered several times by my credit card company of cash loan but I declined all their offers. I didn't need it and I did not want to pay for the interest.
Do check though. The .99% is monthly so that's around 11.88% in a year so if you plan to invest it, the earnings from investments should be more than that. Otherwise, I think you will still incur some losses.
But I have to agree that the .99% interest is low.
Good luck with the decision making .

I wouldn't take that loan if you need it. Providing of course that call was really from your credit card company and not someone who is posing as your credit card company. There are really just a lot of times where people call up, offering potential loans, but they are not who they are claiming that they are to say the very least.
I am against taking any loans out. My student days taught me that loans are not something that are really something that I want to really deal with. If you don't even need the money, there is really less of a chance to really have a legit reason to really take that loan out. It just really does seem a bit absurd to take a loan out that you really do not need.

I encourage you to think it over before you borrow and invest money. Plan carefully before you do anything, for it can make you or break you. It can be the opportunity that you are waiting for, so be careful with it.

If I were you I will check again with the customer service at the bank. Sometimes those telemarketer are not telling the whole deal. Are there really just 0.99% for 12 months or something like admission fee will come up. Once I got an offer to take a 6 months loan with no interest (0%) but the bank will charge some fees, so I have said no. Good luck and be careful.

Maybe you lucky or maybe not. Perhaps the happiest in the world is one that free from debt, in other words Have Financial Freedom.
Basically the finance can be analogues to human health. Health start from one self, it also applies to your financial health.
You should think carefully before take those offer !!!!
There's no free money, no free interest.....I have experience about this marketing strategy...offer debt with minimum interest at the beginning.....not flat mode
Please, make a perfect plan with those money !!!

If you have your own savings, no need to take the loan. As much as possible, start your own business or investment debt-free and if it is already giving you a good profit and you think that you know enough with regard to handling it, then that maybe is the time to take a loan for additional capital. You can always try applying for a loan so you need not to hurry and confuse yourself for now :)

I am afraid that there is a catch, while being offered money like that especially with a small interest rate sounds good, I'm truly wondering if there isn't something they aren't telling you.
If you are good with investing you could easily make the money back and repay the loan plus the interest and have extra to do with as you please, but there is always a risk of investing that things could go wrong.
Make your choice carefully and wisely based on what is right for you.
