How to check backlinks !!

Currently I am working on my blog and creating backlinks so that it will rank good in google. But I am unable to check how many backlinks I have to my blog. I googled on internet found some sites but the no. of backlinks they are telling me for my blog are very less. Can you tell me how you track your backlinks or check no. of backlinks to your blog.

To check backlinks, you need to install alexa toolbar to help you see how many backlinks you have or use any other tools...

open site explorer from seomoz is pretty good for backlinks analysis and other metrics. Also seo majestic.
