The curse of the leap year... Is it a myth?

Many people don't want to get married on a leap year. They say that relationships don't work if you get married in a leap year. They are of the opinion that lots of problems arise if you marry in a leap year. My cousin sister who is already engaged is gonna get married next year, that is 2013... She is of the opinion that this year is a leap year and she does not want to take unnecessary chances with her marriage. She says why rush when you can wait. On the other hand, many other people are getting married this year. I attended my friends wedding on the 1st of January 2012... They didn't believe in the leap year and went through with their wedding. What I want to know is whether marriages are really ruined because of the leap year? Or is it just a Myth?

Your friend is right. It's just a myth and not something to be followed. What is important is after getting married , the couple should really work to make their marriage a success. The leap year doesn't have an effect on the marriage.

Well i think this is an ancient Myth which people follow today, Many believe in such rumors, that something bad might happen during the marriage or the rest of the life will have problems and difficulties. This is just a superstition which people believe and due to fear nobody wants to take any chance, Honestly speaking i too won't marry in leap year, Our surroundings and society plays a important role. Living in a society with such myths will make you believe to such things. God created this world and he blessed each and every thing in the world including days and nights and each and every aspect in the world. So there is nothing like a curse in leap year. Its just our negative belief that something might go wrong and therefore we feel like curse.
