I've found some pretty cool stuff at some of them. At one point, I bought a little white Aladdin's lamp, and what appeared to be a brass snake with red rhinestones for eyes (at a second hand shop). I bought tons & tons of Beanie Babies at a garage sale once, and they were only like ten cents each. I think the lady said that she had bought them as an investment for her kids' college fund, only to see the market collapse on them... so she was selling them dirt cheap. At another garage sale, I found a whole bunch of music CDs of some of my favourite artists & they were selling them for only $1 each! Do you like going to flea markets, second hand shops, garage sales, etc.? What cool things have you found when you were shopping at them?

I like auctions even better, but I find that it is best that I stick with the flea markets and stuff as I don't usually buy as much. I have found that I enjoy going to them and I also operate a flea market booth locally at an indoor flea market so I have a place to sell the things that I buy and really don't need.

I do, with no particular things. Once I get to see something that interests me- I will buy it. I love checking stuffs at garage sale- they're really cheap and not bad!

i love flea markets and sales and charity shops, i make jewellery for a living and i sell them on a market stall in our local church, there are many other craft stalls that i see and i just love looking at all the lovely things people make and sell, my jewellery sells very well apart from that i also sell on line and my jewellery has traveled as far as USA and,Canada and Australia, most of my house is furnished from second hand shops because i cannot afford to buy new, but i don't mind because some of the furniture i buy will not be seen again, so it's nice to keep something old that is worth keeping, i also have toys and other things from charity shops, even curtains and bedding, i bring them home, wash them and they are like new, there's nothing better than a good bargain, so i say that if anyone wants a bargain, go to a sale or charity shop

I also love flea markets, second hand shops and similar places. In my area there are lots of flea markets in the summer months, and it always fun to visit them and see what kind of things I can find. I am especially interested in old magazines because I use the pictures from old magazines in my art. I have found some very cheap old magazines at some of the those places and I am always happy when I find something that I can use. I have also bought other things for instanse books, glasses, cds and clothes.

Here in the Philippines, we have those second hand shops for clothes, bags and shoes. One of my office mate is a good buyer of those nice jackets from those shops. Since we have no time to go through the piles, she bought some denim jackets and showed them all to us. In no time at all, her goods were gone. I was able to buy a denim jacket with nice red design on the lower sleeves. I swear, that some people really raved over it. I told her to buy some more and show it again to us.
