End of The World : Extreme Fears

December 21,2012 ....Apocalypse...Judgement Day...Deluge... The end of this Universe. Much discussion is rampant in various circles over the question of the END of this world at an appointed hour on the 21st day of December,2012. While most of the belief is centered on the Mayan calculation of time, the unusual trine of stars in the galaxy also hold much awe and suspicion in the minds of several million people around the globe. As none would hope for an abrupt end to life, fear of impending disaster of enormous proportions is looming large. No place to hide, nowhere to seek shelter,no food to eat,no water to drink, no light to observe things around, Thick cloud of darkness all over. Imagine, how gruesome things would be!

Hi sukumar, Do not worry about the end of the world. Many are becoming rich by preying on the fears of others. The end of this world for all of us will be when we die, whether it's 2012 or 2090 or any time in between or after. The biggest danger that we face is from ourselves and that is what we need to work on. Blessings.

This has been what is feared for 2012. All we can do is to pray that it will not happen. We should always just be ready for any such eventuality. Meanwhile, let's live life to the fullest, and not be worried about such things.

I do not think we ought to worry too much about this.

At the risk of being deleted from the numberous time this subject has come up iam answering this. First of all the mayan date/prediction does not say its the end of anything. It says a catistrophic change. Thats the same the Holy Scriptures say too. The disciples asked Jesus what will be the sign of his presence. Jesus told them so many things about catistrophic event happening in the worlds future. Mt.24:3-51. He also said it would be like in Noah's day, only the wicked were destroyed, but the righteous survived. Mt.24:37-39. NOTE THAT IT ALSO SAYS CONCERNIG THE DAY OR HOUR NOBODY KNOWS, NOT THE ANGELS NOT THE SON ONLY THE FATHER. Mt.24:36. The Holy Scriptures also say the earth is to be permanate. Ec.1:4; Ps.104:5. That God formed the earth to be inhabited. Isa.45:18. The earth was ment to be inhabited by perfect humans ina pardise earth. Gen.1:28; 2:8-15. God's purpose is certian. Isa.55:11; 46:10,11. The earth will be filled with peaceful perfect humans. Ps.37:29; 72:7; Isa.9:6,7. Paradise will be restored by God's Kingdom. Mt.6:9,10; Re.21:3-5. So i guess if anyone is scared they may have reason to be. But as for me im praying for this Kingdom to come. "Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth." Mt.6:10.

I think that the Mayans just ran out of space and there is no fear in me that the world will end in December. I think that those that feel it is the end should prepare and keep themselves occupied by doing so.

Im afraid every time that i hear about the end of the world but i believe that if the end of the world has finally come,it is God's decision. He will not do anything that make us suffer if we are a good follower. I always pray to him to give all of us much long time to live here in this world and i always pray to the forgiveness on my sins that i maid in my everyday living.

I only believe and pay attention to the Book of Apocalypse of the Bible, and that according to my studies and prayerful contemplations is part of a plan, namely when mankind cannot sink much lower all will collapse. (Proving man needs God the creator and Great Spirit & Father.) I don't think it will be for a while yet, until there is a more concrete world government which turns into a dictatorship. It certainly will not be in 2012 I'm pretty sure!

A lot has been made about the Mayan Calendar which ends in December 2012. Everything has to come to an end sometime, even the Mayans became extinct some time ago, so its no longer possible to understand how they constructed the calendar in the first place, could it be that at the end of every year, someone added another year on to it? As the calendars now in use bore no relation to the Mayan Calendar in the first place, then its possible that the calendar could have many more years to go or it could that it actually ended years ago. The Mayan Calendar is believed to last for 5,125 years, there could have been mistakes in co-relation between that and the modern calendars we use now. I'm not worried, why should anyone else.

That "Judgement Day", the dreaded Dec 21, 2012 is just like what was "predicted" long time ago that the world will end in year 2000... Only God knows when He will end the world.... Or maybe not end it but cleanse it...

There had been many predictions about the world coming to an end. All of them have failed. 2012 is just another prediction. I do not believe that the world will end in 2012. The worse thing that can happen in 2012 is no new development.
