Prophesies about the end of the world during December 2012 is rampant... what exactly are God's plans for us silly mortals...Extreme suffering and turmoil...Torture beyond expectations...Doom and peril of enormous proportions. SO it is time we brood on these thoughts....What would God dispose ultimately...hardships galore OR REDEMPTION????

I don't believe in such prophecies. God's plan to us is to have a good life. Natural calamities do happen but it is not His wish to happen. It just happen. Like how people came into the world and live once he gets really old.

Look up instead of down. The sun is shining. It has been designed to shine for billions of years. People have been preaching doom and gloom since the beginning of time. Don't allow the talk to get you to see ghosts that are not there. God's world is running just as it should. Look beyond the surface to discover what is really going on. There is genius behind Everything. Life is about Living. Concentrate on that and you will never have to worry about the end of the world. God has fixed it all ahead of time. We are all eternal.

I believe the end of the world will come when it comes, and there isn't a thing we can do to change it, so why worry? So many, way too many focused on this dang Mayan Calendar that ended with 2012....Gawd first and foremost, does it occur to anyone that the person making this calendar SIMPLY HAD NO MORE ROOM or GOT TIRED AFTER WRITING THAT YEAR???? Also, if they were so smart to predict when the world would end, then how come they aren't still around now???
But to me, it makes no difference if the last day on Earth is 12/31/2012, or any other date. I know that I have lived my life to the fullest ability, and while I can say right now there is much more that I would like to have accomplished if the world ended tomorrow; it must not be in the creator's cards for me to do so. He knows the beginning and the end, so why shall I be afraid?

God's plan for humans are in the Holy Scriptures. "Be fruitful, become many and fill the earth and subdue it, have in subjection.......every living creature that is moving upon the earth."Gen.1:28. This is certian to happen. "so my word goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certianly do that in which i have delighted, and it will have certian success in that for which i have sent it." Isa.55:11.
All the badness and suffering thats going on in the earth today all is caused by satan, who was cast out of the heavens. John 12:31. He walks about seeking to devour anyone. 1Pe.5:8. Roving about the face of the earth. Job 2:2. Devil has come down to the earth with great anger knowing his time short. Re.12:12
"In fact, unless those last days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones thoses days will be cut short."Mt.24:22
"Jahovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, buthe is patient with you becuase he does not desire any to bt destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance". 2Pe.3:9.

Jeremiah 29:11 Today's New International Version (TNIV) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Isn't that amazing? God's plan is to do great things with us and not necessarily for us.
When we know what he purposes to do then we have no fears. We have only hope and a bright future ahead.
So go ahead and do something positive and enjoy today and every day.

hello sukumar,
yeah, you are right, we are all silly mortals, guessing what god's plan could be! Yes ,there are speculations all around the world that the world ends in 2012. But how far is it going to be true is what that is going to matter. Anyways, if it is going to end, then we need to take it positively as the new beginning for the human race or may be some other new species better than humans. I said better than humans because, honestly speaking, none of us are good people in this world. That doesn't mean we are bad, but there are things that we do which are wrong even after knowing that it is wrong.
If the world is not ending, then there is hope for life, hope for improving our self for the better living. So, what ever it is, i guess it is wise enough to stop worrying about the future and think what we could do now to be a good person.
I will just share a small message that I got on my phone, which I loved a lot.
" If you ever want to make god laugh out loudly, just tell him your plans for the future. He will definitely laugh his heart out when he thinks about what he has got in store for you! "
This is really true. We can never guess what is gonna happen next, but certainly god knows.

As what the Bible says is that the world will be destroyed by any kind kinds of adversities that God will allow to Happen..
Like floods, earthquake, tsunami and all those uncontrolled tragedies..
God want people know that this world is wicked people should repent, turn to Jesus while they are alive..This unexpected tragedies will come and Jesus will come as a thief and a sign for people to be ready anytime.....

Sukumar, I think you really should dwell much on those thoughts. It will only create doubts and fears in you. As long as your conscience is clean and you pray to God then I guess it's okay. Whatever may happens in the future then it will happen. You just need to prepare ourselves mentally and spiritually. Plus, we need to live our present and not some unknown future.
