How is McGill's Engineering Program?

Hi just wanna know how good you think mcgill's engineering program is? I want to apply there because it's easier to get into for me, because they don't require geometry which I did bad on because of the teacher. Also, is there first year common or not? How's the people there? How's the residences and the overall atmosphere? Thanks!
