To be perfectly honest, there is not one person here that can tell you with 100% effectiveness how to have a good reputation. Everybody can give suggestions, and some might work better than others. Still, I have seen people that I think deserve high reputations for the things that they post, especially since they are very informative and helpful not to mention have "high quality" content, and yet their reputations are not very high compared to other members that are not as helpful and do not post as highly informative nor as high quality discussions/responses/comments, in my opinion.
The best advice that I can give you is to be yourself and see where that gets you. If that does not work for you, then you can choose to modify your attitude and behavior as you see fit or you can stay true to yourself and not worry about your reputation, although to be fair your reputation is factored into your earnings algorithm, so it is probably best to try to keep it as high as possible if you are concerned with earnings.

I will stick my tongue out at you all I want, and you will like it ... and if you don't now, then you will when you rebound into your manic state.

Welcome!
The first thing is important to know is that we should reach 100 post then you will see your reputation.
depending on your job it will be as 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 or 10.
then we just have to work to be active to enlarge their reputation and it is at this level that you want.
I wish you the most possible time to make 100 posts and see their reputation.
if there is anything I write will tell you.
nice day!

Oh yes you are quite right.
this is really so.
if all votes will have a negative reputation then.
but his wish to have when you get to 100 post let's be optimistic.

now i am working in a company and have little time to post, but i will insist on and i believe that i will gain a good repuation and make a lot of friends.

As a newbie, you should strive to participate actively by responding to as many discussions as possible and at the same time post quality discussions. Having a good reputation depends on others who rate you. In order to earned their good ratings you you should have quality posts and responses to earn a plus and do not embroil yourself in controversial discussions in your early existence here as it might jeopardize your chances of getting the blue star.

Just keep posting. That is the only thing you that you can do. Reputation on this website actually is mostly subjective. As long as you make nice posts on this website, that don't ask stupid questions and don't violate any guidelines on this website(which is the doom of many new people on this website), things will slowly occur bit by bit.
Don't get too frustrated if your reputation doesn't go high over night. A good reputation takes time. Maybe it will be a few months, maybe a year, maybe more, but just keep posting, improving, adapting, learning, and mostly everything will go fine. I think that I looked at my reputation one day and saw that I had made it. But it took me a while to get to this point that I am at.

Just try posting good quality replies and be friendly to other mylotters and you should be fine. I'm new to mylot as well and I can say that mylot is full of friendly and intellectual individuals so you shouldn't have too much of a problem as long as your attitude is good.
