I Just Don't Know How To Tell You - Too Difficult To Do

But I have to find a way Somehow I must just spit it out and say it as it is. So hard - but I will try. Have thinking about it for days not knowing how to tell you.
It may sound as if I am boasting - and I am. Okay - here goes.
My eldest son won his election and he will be sitting in Parliament after the inauguration next week. GUYS - WE DID IT!
He won. Victory after tremendous sacrifices for the past three years. His wife was here for the last week of campaigning with the twins. They will return for good next June so they can be together as a family again.
I am so happy. Each time he says 'Mom', I reply by saying 'Yes, Minister'. It is driving him nuts
Have you been proud of a family member recently?

Thank you my dear. I am so happy and proud of him not giving up and staying the course. He enters Parliament without owing anyone a favour

Thank you so much. Now let me get this straight. You want the mother of a Member of Parliament to break the law and hunt down the muffin man? I think that we had better stay with vodka.

I will talk this situation over with the new Minister of National Security next week when he is sworn in. I don't know the man but now I have contacts so I will ask to see him But as I am known in Ocho Rios the muffin man may start to run when he sees me coming. And I don't do running any more so I will not be able to catch him

Oh, I am always proud of my family members, but they have not done anything quite that outstanding. Now you get to move on to even more new challenges.

I never thought that he would reach this far. He is a good man and has always been involved in community development and politics from a teenager. It is our victory - those who voted for him - not his alone. At least this is what he told me!

As I am still trying to catch up with my notifications, I am only responding to this discussion now. Even though I already saw this post yesterday, and I immediately read it as I initially thought this was something negative.
Tricky you, cynthiann!
Anyway, congratulations to you, and your son, and your family!

I am so happy for him that I am acting like a kid again. His opponent spent 30M in less than 10 days and I thought that I would die of a heart attack. But the people came through and now boast that they did not sell their vote. I pray that he can make a difference to their poverty stricken lives. Thank you for your very kid words.

Thank you my friend. After the ceremony next week I should get more time to Mylot again. I have missed everyone so much. It has been both nail biting and exhilarating. I really hope that he can make a difference in he lives of everyone in the constituency. They are so very poor and no jobs and no unemployment benefits. It is amazing that he won. Busy now going to village to village thanking the people for voting him in.

Congratulations are in order. He has worked hard and this has paid off and both families should be commended. Be proud and be inspired. As mothers our work has started and I am sure that you are happy that he is moving ahead to serve others. By the way I like your teaser- "yes minister"! God bless you.

I think everyone is proud of a family member's achievement he or she has made. My daughters are still in their teens. I am proud that they are always in the best 1!0th students in school. My only hope is that they can maintain this record till they graduate. Congrats to you

I'm so happy to hear that for you and for your son, how happy that you must be that he not only won the election, but that he will be at home again so that you will be able to spend time with your entire family as well.
As far as family members that I've been proud of recently, I can honestly say that there really isn't a lot that I've had to be proud of, but I am also starting to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so that is a good thing.

Dear Cynthiann thats soooo lovely. Didnt realize that this is your son with the twins you helped raise......so its even a greater success he won the elections and will be in Parliament soon.
You have every reason to be proud of your son and I hope I can keep up a bit with reading the news etc.
