I wonder how does it work? they are saying that piracy is bad. have you ever paid for every music you downloaded? do you think that television shows in every country pays for the artists who sung and imitate lady gaga or justin bieber songs? SO HOW DOES IT WORK!!

On the recording of songs side of things is you can pay for the rights to record a persons songs, its good to think the writers of songs or whom ever owns the rights to music gets something from thair talent.

I agree, but in the music industry when your song gets popular, a lot of people hears it, and its easy to record or download because of the new technology. it is sad that the original artist doesn't get percent of what they earn.

I think that situation is slowly changing, artists are getting their own webpages where their music can be bought from and there are on-line shops that they can sell their music for a fairer share of the market...all this is good.

wow, i that is informative i was not very aware of that. maybe someday when i become a professional i can have my own copyright. who knows, we have lot of influences and idols. singing a cover of our favorite artists and share it makes us popular. maybe discovered.
