When i see a discussion i can relate and feel like responding, i would not look and read at other people's response yet but i only read the details of the discussion and type my personal opinion and view regarding the topic, then when i already submitted my response and it is there, that's the time, i would read and look at other people's response too..if they have similar views and opinions as mine..what about you? do you care about other people's response on a topic and would try to have a similar answer or would you go on your own, with what you feel and think about and not have to please other people who will read or respond to the topic you responded whether your response is similar or not to them..

Yah. I read the responses from other mylotters. As far as I could remember, it is in the FAQ's that we should read other response before we comment. It is natural that our discussions could have similar responses because were asking with a particular questions to group of people where most of us have the same ideas. Sometimes it differs because maybe we're asking for opinions from others. Of course it will really differ because we have different views. And in some ways it really differs because no one has very similar ideas. I hope it helps you, have a nice day and happy new year. Happy mylotting. :D

Well, i do read others' responses before i make my own response. But with those discussions that draw too many responses, i usually only read the first page of responses. Of course, if it is a hot topic, and have different views and i will try to read more responses.

I am not only here to socialize, but to make money. Repeating what has been said and not reading the other posts first, is a good way NOT to make any money from this site. They are most interested in people who contribute good ideas that are not redundant. As you see at the end of your post, they ask you to place tags, and hopefully those tags are within the post you wrote. Those keywords are what the search engines look for and the better the keyword is the more likely MyLot will get traffic from other people than those already here. This social site will die if it doesn't get exposure beyond those of us who are already members. I know from my own topics, that original thought and topics that are not redundant, keep me making money on here.
It isn't about pleasing the person who starts the topic in my mind but if you are here to make money like I am, to please MyLot is most important. Learn to write with certain keywords different from the ones already uses in the topic. Make sure the body of what you post has those words exactly like they are said in it. I haven't been back on MyLot but for a short time, and I don't stay on it all day long trying to make money, but I'm already in less than two weeks at more than $5.00. Think about being an original thinker from the other posts. That is what MyLot wants from you in order to make money from them. In my mind, they are the only people I'm here to please.

I always read on others response first before i made a comment myself. But it is not to get their idea but to understand the others conversation about it.Having read all the comments before commenting is one way of understanding everything and others way of thinking but it doesn't mean you your response will be base on others comment.

i do just the way you do.and that is the correct way i feel.one should just care to express his thoughts first and then continue further reading other responses.this is also important because reading other's response first can influence your thinking.but at the same time it is also necessary to read other's responses and comments to gain more knowledge and to know what others think of the issue.

Before you comment or respond, you should also try to read other people comments, so you would know what's happening in the discussion. I also care about what other people think. Sometimes, i also comment on them when i have something in mind. And if i respond to discussions, i use my own ideas and opinion. But also, i respect other people's opinion.

I like to make my responses absolutely blind when I post in a topic. Most times, however, there are a lot of times where people have nothing to post like I say any time. But there are less than a handful of times where some people are disturbingly on the same wavelength on me. It is rather scary to say the very least when you really think about it.
There are just going to be times where strange minds do think alike. However, I don't like to have any preconceived notions, because if I read other people's responses, it may in fact skew my response to say the very least. There are times where views match up. Of course, not often but it is going to happen. Law of averages and all that.

Usually , i would do that too. But sometimes, i would read the responses and when i saw a response similar to what i have to say, then i butt in and affirm it and further explain my side.

It's on the rules that we should read the comments of others first. But I don't usually read it too and like you I would read it after I made my own comment. Sometimes I don't have much time reading all comments especially if the discussion receives so much comments already.
'Though what I do sometimes is comment on a comment made by another - normally I do that when I read other comments first.

I usually respond to the discussions which attracts my attention or when I want to react at some point. By just choosing the topics to respond, I already have scanned people's responses and discussions, minding only the salient information. Plus, if I would like to have an additional information and knowledge about the topic, I read their discussions before I respond. I also practice what you do Jadoixa, I also read other person's response to any similarity and and difference in our opinions.

Hello, jadoixa. I too simply respond to the person who started the discussion, and then maybe later do I read the others. The reason later is because I may want to respond to one of theirs if I see something they stated was interesting to me. It is responding to a response. And you may not understand the full topic if you only respond to others responses to a topic. (If that makes any sense.) :)

I do read responses just to make sure I do understand the discussion and not go to a different tangent, because it happened to me in the past! There are times as well that I do ended up not responding because I've read some responses that could be similar to my opinion. If the dscussions have a lot of responses I won't read them all, I might read few responses on the first page and respond, but if its just few I'll take my time to read them.

Hello jadoixa.
The same way that you do, I immediately type my response to questions posted in here. That way, the response of others would not affect my idea. But after I posted, I check their responses and see if I can again response or add up with others comments.

I won't say I always but most of the time I read the responses before I post my own response, sometimes I even comment to some of the responses and sometimes I even end up not responding because all the things I was supposed to say in my response have already been said in other members response. Sometimes I just think of other things to say or add some more details about the topic so I can still respond to that particular discussion. But sometimes if I don't have much time I only read some of the responses and just "scan" others..

I will only read the comments after Iam done with my own comment. But I read the comments notnoften when the discussion went hot and there are so many posts and sometimes they are huge. But when Iam bored ai read the comments and comment on those. It depends on my situation and mood.
