wow,a proper name is censored?eh..whatever..
i was channel surfing new years' eve,and watched snippets of his usual NYE show..
i was rather shocked by the way he talked-sounded like he'd had a stroke or something.
now,i know he's in his 80's,but still.god bless him,but maybe it's time for him to hand the hosting over, poor dude.
i guess his "eternal youth" is starting to wear off.end of an era.
gotta give him kudos for still feeling like doing the show tho.

Hi Scarlet,
I didn't see it but I did hear that he looked like he wasn't doing so well at all. He actually did suffer a stroke which would explain this. Too bad but he does seem to keep going despite. He is a legend for sure. I wouldn't want him to step down. It's probably what keeps him going. For years and years, he looked so much younger than his age that I'm sure it is shocking to many to see him actually looking as old as he is.

he still honestly doesn't look bad for his age,but he looks bad for him.
but you're right, that probably is what's keeping him going.some people have no idea what to do after they retire.

D. Clark actually did have two strokes..one a minor one in 2004 and another in 2009 and has been recovering ever since...but I WAS dismayed this time round on the NYE show..his speech was worse than ever.
I was going to share an article about him...but MyLot censored it since it contained his "D" name

He is 82 and had several strokes, one fairly recently. Taking that into consideration, I think I can deal with his slurred speach. I understood what he was saying but it was uncomfortable to listen to, which is a personal issue not Mr Clarks. He is a television legend and I was happy to see him back on air. However, it was sad when he was doing the countdown and he had a difficult time keeping up.
