do some sayings go hand in hand?

I have no idea why i thought this but saying's like knowledge is power and the pen is mightier then the sword all seem to go hand in hand to me. Like the more you are prepared and the more you know the better chance you have to do well. but also i like the saying ignorance is bliss. some times it's better not to know thing. right? what are your thoughts on this? what are your favert sayings and do you think they go hand in hand?
