Do you continue working on myLot task if you're asked to pay?

I remember I saw one task like this. There is a need to pay, and you can always cancel your order, your payment as well. If not, your task will not be completed. I ignored the task because I am here to earn, not to pay. Just few minutes ago, I saw one task which is really tempting. Its cost is higher than the other tasks which also ask member to sign up. The problem here is I was asked to provide my Paypal account. I didn't continue working on that task.

It is because some tasks require us to sign up in another site. Before we can complete the task, we need to complete the sign up. Before we can complete the sign up, we need to provide the required information. Sometimes, Paypal account is one of them.

I rarely do myLot tasks. However, I would quickly step away from the task and not do it if any kind of payment is asked for. To me, that is really just defeating the entire point of doing a task. There are going to be a lot of times where people are going to ask us for some money to say the very least and you're right, I'm not hear to spend any money.
That really is a devious little trick, trying to get some kind of money through a task. Of course, if I don't intend to spend money, I'm not going to spend any money to say the very least. It is just all that simple to say the very least. Providing the Paypal, that is not going to happen. That is really a bit low and I would not be completing that task and I think that few would.

Yes. I also have the same principle. I will never ever pay for me to earn. There are also offline jobs like that. I remember one of my house mates applied for a job in a hotel. She'll be working as a chamber maid. Before she can work, there is a need for her to undergo training. I think training is always a part of the hiring process. Once hired in any jobs, the new employee needs to undergo training. The problem with my story was my house mate was asked to pay for the training. We advised her not to for there are similar jobs where she can already earn while on training.

Let us also think that maybe the site is legit. This is what I did. I signed up using an invalid PayPal account. Why? I am not planning to be active in the site. I signed up because I wanted to complete the task here in myLot. i don't want to give my PayPal account to anyone except to myLot. This is for security reasons.

I will not do any task that requires payment. I will also not post anything on my Twitter feed or Facebook because people eho follow or friend me on those expect me to mind what I expose them to. I feel it's my responsibility.

I agree with you, cripfemme! I think one of the members here has a very good suggestion. We can use a dummy Facebook account. In that case, we can also use dummy Yahoo mail and the like. This is to protect us against the fraudulent use of our personal information.

I strongly agree with you, SIMPLYD! But there are also tasks which require us to provide our PayPal account. Well, I understand this because these tasks are for signing up. Like here in myLot, when we signed up, we also provided our PayPal account. As of now, I can only trust myLot. I can never provide my PayPal account in other sites which I'm not sure are legit.

Yes, Olleenz! This tasker has a very good reputation as far as I know. She's always approving tasks within 24-48 hours. I did some of her tasks that don't require payment, but I stopped when she rejected one of them. There was something wrong in the directions. I still completed the task, and I added some corrections. She got furious and returned the task telling me that she rejected it because of "sarcasm." I wasn't sarcastic. I sent her a message through myLot task, and I emphasized that I'll not resubmit the task. I also emphasized that I was just trying to help her. I asked her why she corrected something in the directions if she didn't agree with me. I think I completed three or five of her tasks. All of them are simple sign ups and comments. She never replied to any of my messages.

Yes. She misspelled one word. I filled out the form, and added that the word should be FEATURE. I also added that there are no sentences under the section she mentioned. She's asking for three sentences. They are all phrases. It will also confuse the workers.
She returned the task, and put "sarcasm gets you nowhere" in reason. I replied and told her that I wasn't sarcastic. As a matter of fact, if she believes that I am, why did she rectify the spelling of feature? She never responded to my two messages. Since then, I never work in any of her tasks. There are still a lot who are very appreciative and understanding. Whenever I encountered any issues with their tasks, they always help me.

Sarcastic in task section ?? Unbelievable reason
When someone doing tasks, they expect get payment .... so, be sarcastic is bad idea. I didn't believe someone will do that.
Anyway, I think I know which member you talking about. I done his/her jobs once because I interested with site she/he offer (not about money). But went I ask how I use that site, he/she never respond. That make me wonder, he/she understand mutual-ism in online business or not (helping down-line mean make them active and create money for him/her). I stop do any job from that person.

I never accept task that I need to pay for approval because for me I did task to help my earnings to increase. Not to pay for it even they say that the money will go back for how many days. I ignore such a task like that AND also I didn't continue working on task if they ask for Paypal account id that really suspicious! lol :D
