Hi shskumbla
It is nice to use Ubuntu OS. You can use torrent software in Ubuntu Operating System. Download Ktorrent software in internet. KTorrent 4.0 was released couple of days back. Ubuntu user will not be getting the new version automatically. Before installing that, you have to add the Kubuntu Updates PPA. You can add the PPA by (apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa)
Open Konsole and type the following commands
1.apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
2.aptitude update
3.aptitude full-upgrade
after that You would see KTorrent 4.0 in the updates list.

Hey Shskumbla
I used Ubuntu OS before
I usedUbuntu 10.04 LTS
I found this OS on their offical site, that they were giving free OS cd's all around world.so I ordered one, then I got it in 15 days , and I installed it.But I come to know there are very few software available therefore I removed it.
There is torrent downloader available for Unbuntu named kTorrent,
You can get it here http://ktorrent.org/
Good Day!!

Yup. I use Ubuntu and Kubuntu regularly, but mostly, Kubuntu because I like the KDE desktop better than Gnome. Anyway, both distro have their own client software to download torrents. For Kubuntu, it's KTorrent. I forgot the one for Ubuntu, but the default torrent software is adequate (i.e., less features compared to uTorrent).

I just remembered. Ubuntu uses Transmission as torrent software.

I personally don't use ubuntu.
However, I just made some reach and it appears that we can use utorrent for ubuntu!
The following link leads to how to install in three steps:

I hope this?

i rarely download torrent but sometimes i do download torrent in ubuntu. I usually use aria2c for downloading torrent. it's a command line tool. After downloading it from synaptic you can just type "aria2c -T file.torrent".

I think there is one application in Ubuntu which is installed during the OS installation itself. you can download torrent software from that application.
