While i am really having fun responding to our friends discussion,my daughter slam the door and ask me to cook food (fried rice with toppings) for her.
I ask her to wait two minutes so i can answer at least one more.
But after answering the discussion,i saw another one that really caught my eye and my attention. :-D
I kept answering and the door slam again :-( My daughter is really hungry and is getting mad at me.Crap,i cant make her best mood if i will not go cook that fried rice now. :-(
I think you know what i will do next. :-)
Has this happened to you ?Busy with things but you need to keep your eye out of it to do some things?

Hi tamirs
This is a job for Super Moms.
Well, as a mother, we of course have to look out for them. Lucky my kids are bigger now and they are able to do things on their own now. But I will definitely not let my kids slam the door or raise their voice with me for sure. So, they do need some disciplining as well and I will usually punish them by no TV or no games.

I agree with you my friend. I will never allow my child to slam the door just because she's angry with me for not paying her any attention.
It's a good thing that my daughter is already grown up too. When he sees me so busy at Mylot, she wouldn't disturb me .

Jlyn, my daughter is in disciplinary action since i got home and resign from work. :) She was spoiled rotten by my parents . :-)
Maybe you are thinking, why i sound happy at the thought of her being spoiled by my parents.? :-) I really am because i spoiled her too. but i am not so sad about it,she is sweet but just need a little trimming. :-)
I love her so dearly and i think the slamming of the door is just her natural.Poor door. And she is like practicing her vocal cords everytime she speaks :-D

I don't have any kids to cook for but I know I have burnt a few things because I kept going on answering discussions, I tend to forget time when I am on Mylot.

Hi tamirs
In case you have not yet started out... prepare some extra for me too... you know I am always hungry for more and fired rice is great to lure me
back to discussion, yes, I am always finding myself more on MyLot than on my own work and it happens many a times... Then when my wife arrives from work, everything else has to wait until we have dinner and she goes to sleep. Only then I resume back my work...
Nothing else keeps me occupied when my wife is around - This is 2012 new find or discovery - a secret revealed... And when she is away and there is chocolate in the house, well...

An empty stomach is really a painful situation. I understand how your daughter feels and i think you were being irresponsible. You should have cooked first for your daughter before responding to discussions. If i were her, i would have slapped your laptop or smashed your personal computer. But that's just me. Next, your' better cook for her first or else maybe she'll do what i would have done.

Ha ha ha, With a four year old and a new born I am always multitasking. I'll have a crying baby in my arm with a whining 4 year old tugging on my shirt while I'm trying to make breakfast, drink a cup of coffee and post online between loads of laundry. A mommy has to do what a mommy has to do I guess.

Good luck and congrats on your 2nd. As mothers we just adjust, I'm sure you'll be fine.

hi tamirs let me tell you about the frisbee story. When we were still
in our own apartment my son and I were in our own rooms on our computers working away like mad, I had made my own supper several
hours ago, He had just got home from work and put something in the
oven.,something smelled really good and I went to his door and stuck my head in. I told him he should be watching whatever he was baking
and he growled at me he was busy ,he would take care of it. so okay to each his own.,I came here mylotting and suddenly i smelled a rank
smoke odor. I dashed into the kitchen and took out a round black disc
that did not resemble a single pizza but a frisbee,he came in took one look and began to laugh. It did look just like a frisbee black round and shiny. lol lol he had one more pizza so he put it in and
took the kitchen timer into his room. this time he got it right

As they get older I'd be inclined to think they can cook their own. Even I have been telling my baby to wait while I finish something online. He is just getting old enough to understand "wait". In my family we were taught to do lots of chores from a very young age so I'm inclined to think a little like that but this is my first child so I won't talk too soon!! I think my husband would pack as much of a tantrum if he was hungry and I was online! There is a balance and as long as you give them enough time at other times sometimes they do have to wait.

It never happened to me yet with my daughter as I still have none But with my and my mom yes, when I am still busy fixing myself up and she can't wait any longer coz we are going somewhere. She went outside already and is mad at me

Ya I know it happens to me alot, specially when my mind and heart are completely into it. I was writing my diary, and my husband was wanting some attention. He kept talking and asking me certain questions and all my reply was "A NOD". He kept waiting patiently and I kept Nodding, thinking in my head that one last sentence and I am done. But as I kept writing, after the full stop I would not be satisfied and start another sentence. After some time, I heard a big BANG!!! .. my husband went out in our backyard and started making some noise just so that I could finally leave my laptop and walk over to him!!!
haha, but I didnt (LOL)!!!
... I just promised him never to ignore him again! :)
