My friends I am going through a lot and I need your help to make it through...
My husband got hurt at work last month so we tried filing for Workmans comp and today we found out the boss didnt have workmans comp insurance which is illegal by the way. So I am in tears as I write this because we have thousands of dollars in medical bills, he cannot work and he cannot use his hand at all to take care of our kids so I could work. I am so scared and upset. We are heartbroken.
Please keep us in your prayers. Thoughts are welcome too...

I will be praying for you.
I can understand why you'd be scared and upset. Try your best to keep focused on God and not the situation. I don't remember who said something to the effect that we shouldn't tell God how big our problems are, but rather tell our problems how big our God is.
Keep us posted. Others have given good advice. Get help from the government and/or all those places we give money too. Get help with your heating bill, with food, with child care, with medical care, with whatever you need. Do some research and find out what's available where you are.
Another semi quote: Pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on you.

Thank you for the prayers. They are needed and appreciated very much. =)
I am trying hard to stay focused on God. That is a great quote and I will try to remember it every time I am about to start crying again.
I will keep everyone posted on this. Thank you! =)

Loving, I will certainly keep you in my prayers. I have been there in a similar situation and it is scary. Maybe you can find some work from home or something to bring in some income. Message me later today with where you are and how many are in your house.

Thank you so much carol. I appreciate all of the prayers and we really do need them. I will be trying to find more work so I can help out but still be here for my husband and kids. He cannot do anything for himself or the children, poor thing. =(
He is feeling so helpless and unworthy of us and I feel terrible that he feels this way and have tried to convince him otherwise but as a man, I understand where he is coming from...
I will message you! =)

Hi Lovin,
You will be in my thoughts and prayers and as you said...this is illegal. As much as I'm sure your husband probably does not want to, he has to now go after his boss for compensation. He could try doing it out of court but if his boss refuses then he may have to take him to court. He should have protection for his workers

Yes it is illegal and we are going to try to sue the boss. We just have to find a lawyer that cares more about people than his wallet. I agree he should have this insurance and he hasn't since 2005. It is not fair that he has gotten away with this so far!

Oh no, Loving, isn't there anyone who can help until he is back on his feet? How bad did he get hurt and do you have health insurance? I will lift you and your family up, it seems the enemy is working overtime as I see many are being attacked right now, including myself, but I am stubborn, I rather hang onto G♥d than allow the enemy to touch me..So hang in there, remember He is right there with you and he wants you to trust Him to bring you through..It may not be the way you want, but it will be the best way, for our Father loves us and knows what is best..

Everyone we know is broke like we are and I tried calling other lawyers to take the case and so far no luck. Unfortunately on what he was making we just couldnt afford insurance. =(
The enemy is attacking me so bad! I am hurting so badly. I know God will help us through. I know its in His time not ours. That is so hard to wait.
I just need some prayers to get through this...Please pray for us.

Sue the company. They should have had insurance and, since it's illegal not to, I would imagine you could sue for the amount they should have paid out.

Yeah we need to find a lawyer who will take the case. That has been the problem...
Were going to try again tomorrow to call lawyers and pray someone will take the case.
I hope they have to pay for this because it is illegal since he has more than three employees.

Check with the doctors and the hospital and see if they have any financial assistant programs. You have to fill out forms for it. They have reduced our bills and sometimes paid the entire amount.
Sounds like you might need to find a lawyer, but then if you do that, your husband could loose his job.
I will keep you all in my prayers.

There are usually always programs for help in these areas. You might want to check out your local food pantries for help also.
I would say you probably should try to get a lawyer. Some lawyers will take on cases and not take any pay until you get paid from the results of the trial.
I would check with the Better Business Bureau also. This company needs to be reported.
Good luck to you and your hubby.

Yes....look into the fiancial assistance programs. Most hospitals have them. I am trying to use them now myself. And yes...that employer should be reported and sued! I will keep you in my prayers and hope this is just a temporary setback. I will make this suggestion. Try to do some online surveys. I cannot tell you on here which ones, so if you private message me, I will tell you. It helps a little. I am on disability and that doesn't pay anything! Doing surveys do help!

Oh! I'm so sorry to hear this!
First off, I hope your husband is going to be OK. Stress and medical bills aside, I hope that his injury is not anything permanent.
You will be in our thoughts, and our prayers. I hope that you and your family get through this.

Thank you. It has been really hard but I knew I could come here and just feel a little better.
We are not sure yet if the injury is permanent... We are hoping not but we won't know until a later time. =(
Thank you for the prayers and good wishes! =)

I'm so sad with your discussion. I knew well how it feels when hurt physically. I've been through this already, I got fractured. In your case, there is no need to worry about, I will include you in my prayers, that you will be guided, enlightened and God will help you carry the burden. I just hope you will really lean to Him. There is no impossible to God if you have that tight faith to Him. God Bless You and you hubby will get well soon.

I am answering from my e-mail so I can't see what everyone else has said and what you've responded. Is his employer going to do anything for him? Did he get reported now that this has happened to your husband? I am so so sorry this happened to your family.

We are in the process of reporting him now. We did find a lawyer that took the case and were hoping they do something good for us!
The employer has done absolutely nothing for us! He is scum in my opinion! Hopefully this lawyer will get us help with this...

oh gosh LoingMyBabies I am so sorry, it has all come down on you. I went out last night with mybest friend to the bank and noticed the full moon. So three bad things In a row all happen to some during this full moon. now your husbands hurt, cannot wo rk and his employer is breaking the law, not having workmans comp so the fu ll moon has hit you, but I also have noticed myself that three good
things usually occur right after. So maybeif he can apply for
unemployment benefits til his hand is healed it would at least help a bit in the most urge needs like food, energy and rent. I can well
understand why you are scared and upset. Are you here in the US?
you can get some help from welfare like food stamps as you ha ve childrne who must be fed. As a mom with a husband laid up I wou ld go to the welfare office and see what sort of help you can get?
My prayers are going to you and yours for help to alleviate your
problems and i know my fellow mylotters will all send their prayers also. I have been in your situation so know will how worried and scared you are, that really is why I am stuck here :Loving as three years ago my son and i were happy living in a two bedroom apt, he had a full time job and Ihad just been retired when our world turned upside down.he lost his job, could not find another j ob, we ran out of money were evicted and I landed here, he in hope haven a place for out of wor k men to live so they had an address and could look for work, he is now working full time but his wages still will not cover another 2 bedroom apt at the cruelly hight prices here in Southern Ca. So we are ho meless in the sense we lost our apt and we own no home. Hes in an apartment shared with another man, I am here at this retirement center paid for out of my social security and ssi checks. I am 85 now
Any way do cling to hope as there has t o be some help for you
and your family , look for help in getting unemployment checks
and look for help from county welfare as you have children who must be fed. Keep us up on how things are going for you and please do not be too proud to ask for help ri ght now.Do see if there are not some helps out there for your family. my best wishes, and God bless. hugs from hatley

Thank you Hatley for the prayers and good wishes.
Unfortunately he cannot file for unemployment because he did not work there for six months and you have to be ready, willing and able to get more work which he can't.
We did file for food stamps and hopefully we should be getting those. At least that will help. Were trying to find a lawyer that will sue the employer for his illegal actions. We are hoping someone will take this case!
We will look into other help too from the state. We are in the U.S.
That full moon definitely got us! I keep hoping something good will happen for us. We have been through too much as it is. =(

I would sue this boss. How dangerous to have workers working for him and getting hurt. Suing him would be a wake up call hopefully. All my positive thoughts will go out to and for you. I certainly hope you sue this person.

I will keep you in my mind about this. This is whats wrong with this country these days. I cannot believe that the employer did not have workman's comp insurance for his workers. That is sad. Stay as tough as you can, thing have to get better. Look, I know it is a new year, and we all wished for things to go right of once, but this might have happened for a reason. I feel for you.

It amazes me that a country like America, as great as it is supposed to be can let things like this happen to the people. I am totally against the medical industry, I believe it is only there to make billions of dollars. I also know that doctors these days don't really care about a lot of thing anymore. I just wish we had a united health care system here.

Thank you. It is horrible that he had no insurance. The worst part is that he could get away with this and not have to pay a dime if we dont find a good lawyer. I was hoping the new year would bring better things and maybe this is a blessing in disguise, I hope so!
