I have listened to Linkin Park ever since Hybrid Theory was released and for reason I have never had the opportunity to attend one of their concerts. I was hoping someone could let me know if I should travel far and wide to eventually see this band. I love Linkin Park but not so much their new music. Is it worth it? Should I make the trip and spend the $ to see this band even though I dont listen to them so much anymore? Let me know what you guys think!!?!

I saw them a few years back and yeah it was a little bit horrible. They have tremendous energy on stage but that's about it. I have seen high school kids play better in all-ages basement shows. Stick to your studio versions if you like believing Linkin Park is as amazing as I used to believe.

Performing live and hearing them perform on studio is very very different. In studio they have numerous instruments and technologies to improve their music, add another dimension to it. But while performing live, they have the most basic instruments, its them and their voice. Performing live is not easy, as one must constantly shout at the top of their lungs, and it does get.....noisy.
If you are a hardcore Linkin Park fan like me, then you should go. But as if you have just heard Hybrid Theory, my advice, listen to their other songs, and then if you feel like going, then go. There has been a vast difference in their style. They are no more the band that was in Hybrid Theory, they have become much deeper. In a personal level, I think you should give this a miss. Listen to them in your home and enjoy

I love Linking Park and a couple of songs are close to my heart, especially "Its easier to run" and "Breaking the habit", both are "Hybrid Theory" pieces.
Traveling to a new place for attaining your favorite band is a cool idea. If your band is performing at a place which is a good tourist destination as well, then you might plan your next vacation at the same time! It all depends on your love for the band and love for traveling.
