Watching repeats of tv show episodes

I have a few series of tv shows that I keep up with and I watch the new episodes. But, no matter how much I love the show, I can't stand watching repeats of the episodes. As much as I don't like watching the same episode again I like to watch some movies more than once. I don't know why I can rewatch movies and not tv series. Is anybody else like this or are you able to watch episodes over and over?

Iam watching Burn Notice now, but they have a winterbreak. Now iam watching the seasons 1,2,3,4 and 5 again untill it begins. Or I watched Lost a couple months ago, but Iam starting to watch it again because it is a really good show!

I guess if it's a good show...but still, it's hard for me to watch the same episodes. Ill only do it if I haven't seen the series in years

I only watch the best/funny episode or when Iam in the mood I will watch the whole season, it depends on my mood.

No I don't enjoy watching again those TV episodes or even movies that I have already seen. I find it such a waste of time because it does not entertain me at all. I see no point in repeating them because I already know their stories and it does not bring excitement at all to watch them over again. Anyway there are new ones I could watch anyway so why waste time on them.

I think I'm pretty much the same way. I'm not surprised by what happens when I see it the second time around. The only time I'll watch repeats is if the show is really good, I haven't seen it in a while, or if the particular episode was confusing and I need to watch it again in order to understand it better.

It depends on the show and the movie. There are television shows that watching once is enough, then there are television shows that you want to watch again to figure out what just happened, an example of this was Lost I watched every episode more then once just to figure out what was going on and see the minor details that meant something later in the series. It also depends on how long ago the original show aired. There are shows that I will rewatch an episode and barely remember it, the fact that I often put the television on as background noise while doing things around the house means that even though a show is on, I may miss most of it and if it intrigues me I may rewatch it. I have friends who cannot watch anything more then once movie or television show, then there are others that watch the same movies and shows over and over again, so each person is different.

Yes, you're right. Certain shows can get really complex and you need to watch episodes again just to understand the show and catch all the little things. But even then I don't like having to watch it over again..I guess because I already know what's going to happen.

It would depend on the station and the shows I'd prefer to be watching..Here in the UK,there's a couple of channels running repeats of shows I'd like, and sometimes the showing order seems to go out of whack-Episodes I'd recognise as being early first season ones come around more often than if the seasons were on a loop from first to most recent..not a problem,so long as I haven't gotten bored with that particular episode..some can take repeated viewings!

If i already watched the show i don't want to watch the repeat unless i haven't seen some episode. I knew what happened already and i don't want to watch it again, its boring to me to watch the show I've already watched. If there is part 1, 2 or 3, i will watch it but not the repeat.

I do watch some episodes of some tv shows over again but over and over again because then i just get annoyed. I do watch some TV Shows more than once so that i can see something i maybe didnt see in the first time watching it just like a movie. Even though TV shows arent very long either 15 minutes or 30 minute shows without commercials being watched. I like seeing it twice so i dont forget seeing something. I dont do this with all of the TV Shows.

That seems like a smart idea. Usually I'm only able to watch repeats if I haven't seen the show in years and I want to refresh my memory.

I don't watch repeat of TV shows. Most of the time their plots is already a stretch, so I can't stand watching it over and over again. It just becomes ridiculous. Although there are definitely some movies that are worth watching over and over, there are also some that are just one and done. Jurassic Park is an example of a one-and-done.

There are a few great TV shows I watched in the years, especially 'Prison Break' and 'Lost',but so far I haven't felt the desire to watch episodes from those series again, probably because they're still fresh in my mind.I guess that 10 or 20 years from now on I will enjoy watching those shows again. No matter how good I enjoy a TV show,I prefer to look for something new as soon as that show is over.
