I have some articles on ExposeKnowledge. I have heard that I can use the same on ExpertsColumn. Is it right? I am already having an account with EC with more than 70 articles. But I have not yet taken a single article from EK to EC. On EK I have about 20+ articles. Please tell me if I can go ahead safely. Are there anyone of you who have taken your articles from EK to EC? Please help me.

Hey Abhi. I went and looked at their TOS for you... OMG what a mess. They've mixed up the parts about publishing code and publishing articles: I'd hate to get involved in a dispute with them (especially since they basically deny all liability for anything, so won't help you AT ALL if someone plagiarises your work).
They state that you give them the usual "nonexclusive, worldwide license to link to, reproduce, distribute, adapt, perform, display and sublicense the submitted code or content". In other words, if it's cool with EC to republish, it's cool with EK.
BE WARNED that their TOS sucks awfully. It's not clear, it's badly written, it doesn't cover you or them for most situations and they say you can't take content down once it's published with them (always a bad sign).
Additionally - and this is REALLY important - publishing there gives them the right to "edit or update your contents" and, if they do, you have to ASK for permission to use the updated version. This puts the copyright issue in a VERY grey area: they don't change the copyright assignment but you have to ask for permission to use it? That's just bizarre.
You can republish but I would NOT use this site until they've straightened out their act. I'm a little paranoid, though, so it might be fine for you!

This is another piece of classic information from you that has not only forced me to answer this response first but also mark it as the best.
I hope when you say "they" it means you are referring to ExposeKnowledge. Even when you had looked at the Shvoong TOS, you had given a good explanation. I think you are an expert in this matter.
I respect your advise of selecting to join or not. But I would like to join it as I think those articles can at least give me some passive income. By the way, instead of them lying as 'scrap' if unused, I won't mind republishing them. Most of the articles are time-based - news like. So, in any case, I won't be using them, (and will not be able to use them anyhow).
Those are rather older articles and I mostly do ghost writing. So, many of my articles never get published in my name.

I am only posting my old content that I am really not worrying about too much. Those were the articles I had written, when I had begun my online earning 'career'. I am just trying to get more out of those articles. That's it!
Mostly, I am doing ghostwriting for a couple of clients now. Some of the articles I write are about two wheelers - I write for an auto blog and entertainment articles as well. Those are mostly news based articles I currently write. So, they own the copyright of it all. And as those articles get stale over a period of time, so I am not worried about them, as long as I am getting paid. And it is very understandable that those people will keep the rights.
As far as the question of a pen name is concerned, I write write only for my own entertainment blog - which you have seen before. Those write-ups are published under my name. So no problem about that.

Yes, I meant EK when I said "they". Sorry for the confusion, my friend!
If you're only posting old content that you're not really worried about, EK shouldn't be a problem. I'm always VERY paranoid about people who touch my copyrights, especially when I may be handing them rights I want to keep but I can see why you wouldn't be so bothered with that particular content!
With ghostwriting - if you're talking about true ghostwriting, as in writing for someone else, not just using a pen name - you have to be very careful who owns the copyright. I assume you mean you use a pen name, so they're all your own work with your own copyright. That's not a problem, as you know!

I can understand why you are asking about the grammar and error things. It is always good to read and proofread you articles. Anyways, EK pays upfront and not for pageviews. I have seen articles that are not so grammatically correct on EK. So, I guess, they may be accepting such articles too.

Hi abhi.. I dont write for EK , but blog and write in a variety of other sites.. I use EC to republish my articles.. The FAQ of EC clearly states that you can republish your articles as long as "YOU WRITE WITH THE SAME NAME".. So if your EK articles are publihsed under the same name as mentioned in your EC profile you can go ahead and post your EK articles in EC. Cheers :) Happy Mylotting.. Would be grateful if you coud tell me a lil about EK..

ExposeKnowledge is a site that pays for its members upfront. The pay depends on the words, the content and some other things. You also get points for the article too. But if you article is not holding any good content, they award only points, no money.
Anyways, thanks for the information you gave me above.

hey, i have not heard about if its under guidelines to place your article from one ek to ec. but i know a man who has place his article from some site to the triond and his account is terminated from the triond. when he ask the reason behind the action, they say he has violated the guidelines thats why banned from triond. so be care ful whatever action you are going to take, as you are very much established on those sites.
