What is the Difference Between Blogs and Websites????

This is good discussion...Many peoples doesn't know the difference...A blog is something that consists of various topics and it has lots of variety. And website is designed for the particular purpose. In blog u can post so many contents and In website u highlight the product... You can easily differentiate the blog and website by its look.... The website ususally have the steady page and in blog u can see the latest posts.... And website is also called as site and blog is also called as weblog... Happy Mylotting... Thanx..

A blog is also a website. But is is limited to display information in a specific manner such as blog posts. A website can serve more purposes than a bolg, such as providing information about products or service, adding functionality of shopping cart or e-commerce and much more. A blog is like a diary where people post their opinions, experience, tutorials etc.

As for me Blog or Weblog is a type of website is maintained solely to provide information to people. A blog is an informal media for sharing news, information, views and ideas about a certain topic. While, Website is a group of pages that are placed in a server meant to deliver or gather information. It is organized in such a manner that you can navigate to one page to another with links that are provided.. Website can be of selling products or providing after sales report.

i think major thing that make a blog called a blog is because it record date of our writing, while website is more general name for anything that you find in world wide web. So i think blog is part of website that log/record date of our writing. In a blog we can track when do we write, while website didn't have to record our update, but if they (website) do record our update then it can be called a blog or if it were more complex it can be called CMS.

In my opinion, Blog is more flexible, modifiable. A blog enables me to easily update information and easy to add image, videos etc. Blogs can be updated and created easily without exerting in IT and coding. But blog cannot be easily reached among different peoples. It cannot have much space to store our information efficiently. owning a website is more expense than blog
