Do You Challenge Yourself?

Each month here on myLot, do you challenge yourself? When I first joined, I was just getting my feet wet, learning the rules, when I noticed a lot of excitement one day around the middle of November. Everyone was remarking on the color "green", and when I asked someone what it meant, he replied, "It's payday here at myLot! Green is for money!". Everyone seemed so happy to be getting ten dollars or more. Having just joined in October, I had not yet made ten dollars here. By the beginning of December, though, I did, and I can remember seeing the little phrase at the bottom of a page congratulating me for having earned enough to qualify for January's cash out. And I thought, hmmmm...what if I don't want just 10, 11, or 12 dollars transferred to paypal? Can the money be held over till the next month when I would have accumulated more? So I went back over the rules again and discovered I could reset my minimum cash out to 25 or even 50 dollars or more if I chose to....so I had an idea. I would challenge myself to reach 25.00 each month. I reset my minimum to that amount. I am happy to say I made it for December! I had a grand total of 26.66. No referrals - just discussions and tasks. The amount will be a nice chunk of change right in time for my son's birthday. I have another cashout from Fusion Cash I will be receiving a few days later in paypal - for thirty dollars. The total will cover a nice gift for my son as he loves video games, and most run around forty to fifty dollars. I should have enough to get him a game he wants and his birthday cake. I'm keeping the challenge. So far this month I have earned nearly three dollars. I'll just keep going and let you all know if I made it by the end of January. If not, it will carry over to the following month, and I'm sure I'll have a nice sizable amount for February. Do you challenge yourself at myLot like this? To make enough money for a nice cashout?

I try to tell myself to do around 40 responses a day and to start a couple discussions everyday but sometimes i get side tracked and forget to even come on this site which is not good because mylot is a pying site to its customers and i need to get my mind set right and jsut stay on this site as much as possible during work and when i get home as well. I am trying to stay strong this year with making money online so im trying to challenge myself on alot of sites so i can get more money this year than i did last year because this year i feel is goingto be a hard year with me with paying bills and maybe not working as much too. I am happy to see myself on here and making some type of cash and hopefully i can make a payout soon even if its just the minium payout of 10 dollar i wont mind it at all. Have a great day and happy mylotting.

It is hard to focus on something, especially if you are at work and need to focus on your job! But when you do have free time it sounds like you are putting it to good use to make some extra money, which always comes in handy. Good luck and happy myLotting to you, too!

Well done for you. I don't really challenge myself. I've been here a year not active mind you and have 3.98. Over the holidays I'm trying more as I have more time. Yesterday was one if my top earners and that was 23 cents lol. So I'm trying harder but I'm going back to school Mondayhow terrible!:( I'm busy with finally cleaning out my room lol! I'm moving to France at the beginning of April and I don't know French so i'll be busy. I try to participate a little bit every evening. I'd live to be able to earn like you. How do you do it with such a low post count and no stars. Do you do mostly tasks? see you around!

The day I got .23 cents was the day I got .12 cent for tasks .7 cent for reward and .4 cent for participation lol! I never really find good tasks here:(! Occasionally I find 1 dollars ones but they ask for loads of stuff I can't do but I still check the tasks everytime I'm on mylot! Good you know French now if you could magically pass it on to me lol!!

Mostly tasks, Kate34 - although lately I've been starting a few discussions each week and trying to respond to each one who comments. My husband is a French professor in a State University here! His mother was born and raised in France. He grew up speaking French and English. I know enough to read and write - but have no accent. The most I earned one day from no tasks - just discussions - was .25. It's usually around 3 or 4 cents lol....

I'm easy with it and feel that I am conversing with really nice people and find that there does not seem to be very much difference between what we like and dislike.

I like your laid back approach. I'm more the frenetic type lol...but I figure what ever works for each of us, right?

Oh sure, challenge is something we must have. But I make it realistic. I have job and it is enough for now. So in Mylot, my main goal is chat and get extra money is the side effect. I also can learn some new knowledge here.

That sounds wonderful, microengineer. You are working so your job is sufficient for you. You are able to use myLot as a social site - with a side benefit of earning a few dollars extra here and there. Keep it up!

Thank you timetravel, I consider that I am lucky. Joining in mylot is such fun. This is place that I can interact with others, learning and sharing. Although it might be limited in some functionality but I can get some non-financial benefit here.

I, too, have met some interesting people and participated in some very worthwhile discussions - to the point where you aren't thinking of earning, just chatting.

How new are you? If you are serious about earning money here, go for the tasks that pay 10 cents or more - the money really starts adding up. Get some serious discussions going, and contribute to ongoing discussions that won't be deleted - because then you lose whatever you might have earned contributing to those discussions. Good luck to you.

Hi there timetravel!!! I think you are very great in having to reach that payout.I've been a member for a year now and I've only made the cash out once and its 10 dollars.I haven't challenge myself yet to reach 25 dollars becoz I know that it will require more patience and hard work.

yes it does, jordq7 - especially if you focus on discussions. I feel the tasks are the ultimate help in reaching cash outs earlier and soonier. I've already earned over three dollars for January thanks in part to doing those, plus the discussions. As more come along and I do more, I will make the 25 for this month, too!

Wow thats cool But the problem with me is that i can not manage time. I would love to sit and share and discuss things but the thing is that i cant make time. Although i have tried to challenge myself at several occasions but I haven't been able to full fill it. So as of now all i am doing is to make sure that at the starting of next month I can make at least $10.

Good for you So far, I've only been able to redeem $10 and that was in October. I've been slacking off because of school and other paying sites have kept me busy. Plus I've been wast--er, spending time on the internet on other sites Originally, I aimed to make enough so every month, I could cash out $10. I highly doubt I'll make it to $10 by the middle of this month. I suppose I could aim for $25 by the middle of February, but I just don't know if I'd make that.

Thank you, Mayuko. I know what you mean about spending time on other sites...I do, too - it's the tasks that help me. Plus I've set a goal to start at least two discussions a week and respond to every comment. Due to what I tend to post I don't think I'll get tons of responses - three, five, ten even are good for me. Good luck trying for 25 dollars! You never know, do you?

If you really want to earn some more you really need to challenge your self to persevere. You will need a lot of patience and hard work. And you must have your inspiration and dedications, it could be your family and love ones!

As for me, it will be my first time in mylot so I just limit myself to $10. i even find it hard to achieve since I do have a lot of extra things to do such as my studies 9wherein i stay at school until 9pm) and training and playing frisbee. Is there a limit on how many can you answer in one day? I am really curious about it. lol. :)) Anyway, can you recommend sites like myjob wherein you'll only have to answer or post topics and then you'll earn? thank you so much. :D

I don't believe there is a limit, iamroms. Just beware of discussions centered on subjects that violate the ts and cs of myLot and you should be good! Same goes with starting them. If you check around a bit, you'll see some discussions where other members warn someone that the post they've contributed most likely will be deleted and that gives you an idea of what is considered acceptable, too. Keep it heavy or light - as long as it's something worth discussing. Before you know it, you'll have your first cash out!
