I'm a newbie mom and I got disappointed when my hubby called me and told me that their company will have an outing and he said he already booked the ticket. I said what? do you think I will allow baby to travel 12 long hours via train.
Now my question is, is it okay for a 3 month old baby to travel via train? Second question "What are the things that I needed to pack for baby for a week vacation? Any suggestions and tips for mommies like me will be highly appreciated, please don't be rude about my question, I just want to know what is safe.

I am not familiar with train travel now, but many years ago I did travel with a small baby for over 12 hours on a train and we did well. Feeding and changing are your main concerns. A baby that small will sleep most of the way. An older child under the age of three is a real challenge. Make sure you have all the baby's food don't add any water that is no bottled. Water can cause a baby to have a very upset tummy and scream for hours, you certianly don't want that. Good luck

Hi straw,
I daughter took her first travel when she was three months old via Tricycle and wee had a ride for two hours going to my mother in laws house.
I got scared at first because unlike train, tricycle is a very open and air comes through while travelling.I just put her jacket and wrap her with baby wraps. The travel went just fine so i think travelling by train is just good
About the things, bring as many baby clothes as well as jackets as you can and also milk and feeding bottles, also don't forget to bring first aid kit like paracetamol, oil, cottons and her vitamins as well.I don't also forget to bring thermometer whenever we go out. Have a safe travel with your baby

Of course, they probably won't charge you extra. I've been on a train with younger babies than that. Be sure to bring favorite blankets, toys, and familiar things. I think bring plenty of baby food, wipes, and diapers. Have fun with your baby's first outing!

most of your friends will advice you to travel with your 3months old baby. but final decision should be yours. because everything depends on weather condition and your baby's health. if both are ok than i would also say yes. happy journey.

I agree with everyone here I think its fine as long as the baby isn't sick with a cold or anything and is up to date on shots. Just because you don't want others to have anything your little angel can catch.
You would need to pack the usual things like diapers, wipes, extra clothes, formula, extra bottles etc...

i think it's okay and safe to travel your 3-month-old baby on train, i would not permit to bring a 3-month-old baby if traveling is by bus..for a week vacation just make sure you bring all she needs like milk, diapers, enough clothes, things needed for giving her a bath, everything the baby needs but just estimate it for a weeks use..
