How do you deal with hot flashes or avoid having them?

I am 51-years old and have started having what I think may be hot flashes but I am not sure... One day I felt as if I was burning up... had a headache too. It seemed like I was having lots of hot flashes... The next day I got hot suddenly and felt like the core of the body in the back and front of the body were burning and then felt hot in the face too ... What do you do when you get a hot flash? How do you avoid getting them?

There are many person who are in your age will be meet this status. If it's too important, you should ask your doctor. If not, your status would be lose as I have known.

Yes, it does seem to be an age-related thing. And thankfully... the flashes do pass.

Drinking soy milk daily can reduce them, but I noticed if I have a cold or something, I get more of them.. either that or soy isn't helping as much! I hate going to doctors, and am rather stubborn about not interfering a lot with nature.. so I suppose I may suffer ,more with this! There's a good soy, vitamin, herb supplement on store shelves I hear.. I use soy in my coffee or tea or drink it with sweetener or french vanilla..

Soy products do seem to be helpful. Thanks for sharing about them. I like the soy meatless products.

No. I haven't seen a doctor, have no medical insurance and avoid the doctor... I won't be going on hormone replacements... I will be doing this a natural.
