What Happened to Modern Warfare?

Ok so I am a massive C.O.D fan. Been playing it since C.O.D 2 and have always thought it was the best 1st person shooter available to the Xbox 360. The best part about the series was that each game kept getting better and better. From everything like the graphics to the actual game play engine I was overly impressed eachtime they realeased a new call of duty game. Modern Warfare 2 came out and OH MY GOD what a game.The multiplayer action is always what I've loved about this game. This game blew the original out of the water with 20 killstreaks, new guns, new attachments and perks. The gameplay seemed to be smoother too. Then Black Ops was released and it was ok. You could dive which was kind of cool. And zombies was always a bonus. But it still lacked the intensity and drive of the Modern Warfare series. Now Modern Warfare 3 has been released and it delivered the intensity. But everything else sucks. The maps are boring and not creative. Guys are able to accumulate killstreaks even though they keep dying. And the spawns are just absolutely horrible. I own both Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 and yet I still continue to play Modern Warfare 2. Please exec's at Infinity Ward/ Treyarch... PLEASE DO NOT DISAPPOINTMENT US ALL AGAIN!

I just bought Modern Warfare 3 for the Xbox today. I like it very well. Black Ops was just a really bad game. But the whole Mordern Warfare serie is very good. The best Call of Duty to me is Modern Warfare 1 because I like to snipe and in MW1 that is very easy to do.
I will stick to the Call of Duty series forever because it wil get beter.

CoD simply can't make something new for some reason and they are staying behind with their outdated engine. I recommend you to switch to shooters which have better engines such as Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3 or Crysis 3.
They all require a great gaming computer to play it on high-ultra and even the latest CoD game on max won't look better than one of those on low.

i just rented this game and although i've played it a little i really haven't dived into it. i noticed the ratings from other gamer's are not as good as the past 2 modern warfare games. i never really got into the modern warfare series that much. i was into other games like gears of war 2 and 3. do you think the modern warfare series has reached its peak and just starting to get stale?

His happens when something is duplicated so many imes. They had nothing to improve on. So they dumbed it down, ive seen it happen to other games as well, world of warcraft for instance, they dumbed it down so much, so that he unskilled can compete. We need a game that reward its skille players instead of babies the weak.

I personally think it went downhill after infinity ward fired most of the original team which made mw and mw2.Mw3 is made by sledgehammer and a couple other companies.Mw3 maps are horrible,spawn system sucks.Many times i will spawn right infront of the enemy and get killed within seconds.Even though they say its the most balanced cod ever,i think its the most unbalanced cod game ever.

Iam playing Modern Warfare 3 on the moment, and I don't have any problems with the spawns, I like the maps very well. Underground and Bakaaraa are my favourites. Those killstreaks you earn with support strikepackage aren't so good as the assault strike package killstreaks. So don't cry, the support killstreaks are also killstreaks for your team, UAV, Counter UAV and Ballistic Vests. And Modern Warfare 2 isn't the best COD. It is and still is Modern Warfare.
