Some people ask me why my speed with the wireless router is so slow. I will tell you. Most of the time people use password to encrypt the connection to the router and that make your speed low. Because every packet send to the router is encrypted and router need to decrypted and the other way around too. I stop use this tupe of locking my wireless connection and star to use MAC Filtering. In every router you have MAC Filtering look in the router settings and apply it. What is MAC Filtering? Every network device have a specific network address caled MAC. Look in your router and you see all the devices conect to it have a MAC address it look like this xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
XX can be number or leter. Grab this MAC address and use it in your MAC filtering option of the router. Only MAC addresses in MAC filtering option can access this router. Then remove your encryption of the wireless and you will see better speed on your internet connection. Hope i help. If you have some questions ask me i will try to answer all of them. Good luck and better speed.

Use MAC biniding option rather than using any encryption. The person you know and want to allow him to use your network, take its MAC and bind it with IP address and disable all others.
