1) What is your definition of 'lots'?
2) Surely, "Make an account" is a given?
3) At the latest, IMMEDIATELY after making an account, you should READ your Welcome email, the Guidelines, Terms and FAQs. Only by doing that will you avoid making the many mistakes which newcomers generally make.
Here they are if you can't find them:
Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
Terms: http://www.mylot.com/o/terms.aspx
FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx
4) You have missed out a very vital consideration: Make sure that you have a valid PayPal account and fill in this form completely and accurately: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editPayment.aspx
5) NOW you can begin to discuss with 'lots of people'. Make sure that you ALWAYS make your responses and comments descriptive and of good quality and that you always maintain any discussions you start. You ONLY earn for what YOU type. Getting responses on a discussion earns YOU nothing unless you reply with comments which actually add to the discussion!
6) It's advisable to 'make lots of friends' as a result of taking part in discussions. Friends aren't friends unless you know at least something about them and their likes, dislikes and interests.
'Waiting until you get the money' is NOT a sensible plan. In order to earn, you have to participate. It's no use just waiting because money doesn't magically fall in your lap here ... you have to make some effort!
MyLot won't make you rich. You will need to learn how to make 'quality' posts and the meaning of 'discussion' and you will need to learn that having fun doing these things is more important than earning ... oddly, you will tend to earn more the more that you forget about or stop worrying about earning and enjoy being part of the community.
